Indian Paralympic heroes set to return home
London: Indian Paralympic Team is returning India on 11th September 2012 by Air India Flight (AI 112) on Tuesday at 0930 hrs (morning). Mr. Girisha, Silver Medalist will also be with the team.
Yesterday, Hon’ble Minister of Sports Sri Ajay Maken met with Indian Paralympic Team members on dinner in London. He assured team members to give a job to every participant and he also discussed with office bearers for the ongoing controversy of stay of coaches in London.
It was cleared that no unwanted Paralympic official was in Games Village and it was not possible to accommodate each and every personal coach in Games Village. Mr. J.P. Singh, Team leader of Powerlifting told that “Farman Basha’s (Powerlifter) statement is totally wrong and media gave a hype to that, while Farman was given best facilities and Paralympic Committee of India is bearing all the expenses of his wife and personal coach who is in London with Basha. Still if he is not happy then he can’t do anything as everyone has right to speak and he can’t put a ban on that.”
Now a grand welcome will be given to all the athletes on Airport by PCI.
