Leading juniors for Rotary Cup tennis

Mumbai, Jan 24 (PTI) The second Rotary All India ranking tennis series for under 14 boys and girls will be held here at the MSLTA's Dr G A Ranade Tennis Centre next month.

The national level tournament, to be organised by Rotary Club of Bombay Mid-City on February 10 and 11, would see the leading players from across India in action, it was announced at a media conference today.

"Last year we joined hands with MSLTA to organise this tournament for youngsters. Rotary Club is always keen to encourage young children and help to build leadership qualities in the youngsters. We will work hard in the build up to this event and try to make it more popular," said former president of the organisation, Bharat Parekh.

Manoj Vaidya, CEO, MSLTA lauded the efforts of Rotary Club Bombay Mid-City.

"The Rotary Club members do a good job. They work collectively and take good care of the children. This does not happen in other junior events," said Vaidya.

The tournament is expected to attract over 120 children.

The winners and runners-up will be presented with the Rotary Cup and cash prizes, besides earning AITA ranking points, it was announced
