Basha, Rashmikumari win titles

Chennai, Nov 3 (PTI) Zaheer Basha of RBI and Rashmikumari of PSPB won the men's and women's singles titles respectively in the 46th Senior National Carrom Championship which concluded here today.

In the men's singles final, Basha beat Riyaz Akbar Ali of Air India 21-15, 22-25, 25-14 while Rashmikumari edged out her PSPB teammate Parimal Devi 20-13, 11-25, 22-15 to lift the women's title.

In the veterans event, Manu A Baria of Jain Irrigation beat Saleem Akbar Ansari 25-9, 25-16 to reign supreme in the men's section while Shoba Kamath of Maharashtra beat Tamil Nadu's Mageswari Jagadeesan 25-5, 25-0 to win the women's crown
