3 biggest mistakes Tony Khan has made on the road to All In 2024

AEW has been crafting the storylines in the recent weeks for the upcoming All In pay-per-view. The marquee event is scheduled to take place at Wembley Stadium, London, on August 25, 2024. Eight matches have been announced so far, and all of them are brimming with star power.

All In 2024 Match Card:

  • Kris Statlander and Stokely Hathaway vs. Willow Nightingale and Tomohiro Ishii (Mixed tag team match) [Pre-show]
  • "Timeless" Toni Storm vs. "The Glamour" Mariah May (Singles match for the AEW Women's World Championship)
  • MJF (c) vs. Will Ospreay (Singles match for the AEW American Championship)
  • Jack Perry (c) vs. Darby Allin (Singles match for the AEW TNT Championship)
  • Mercedes MonĂ© (c) (with Kamille) vs. Dr. Britt Baker (Singles match for the AEW TBS Championship)
  • Casino Gauntlet Match for a future AEW World Championship match
  • The Patriarchy (Christian Cage, Killswitch, and Nick Wayne) (c) (with Mother Wayne) vs. Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson, Austin Gunn, and Colten Gunn) vs. House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King, and Buddy Matthews) [Three-way trios match for the AEW World Trios Championship]
  • Swerve Strickland (c) (with Prince Nana) vs. Bryan Danielson (Title vs. Career Match for the AEW World Championship)

The storylines for the above matches have been consistent but flawed. All In will possibly attract upwards of 70,000 spectators. Tony Khan and his roster have a tough responsibility to deliver a great show.

While most of his ideas have been well-received by fans, many believe that Tony Khan hasn't done enough. The show could have offered more than what it is going to, and a window of opportunity has been missed.

Here are three mistakes Tony Khan has made on the road to All In 2024:

#3. English native Mariah May will enter All In as a heel

The partnership between Storm and May ended last month. After the latter won the Owen Hart Foundation Women's Tournament, The Glamour brutally attacked the AEW Women's World Champion and solidified herself as a heel.

Since All In will take place in London, English star Mariah May could have received a hometown welcome. Instead, she will enter as the bad girl. Furthermore, Storm could very well retain her title.

#2. AEW World Tag Team Champions unannounced so far

The AEW World Tag Team Championship holds immense prestige. The prized gold is currently held by The Young Bucks. However, the EVPs have yet to defend the title. On the recent episode of Collision, it was announced that Nick and Matt Jackson would defend their title against The Acclaimed on this week's Wednesday Night Dynamite.

The AEW President could have booked this match for the upcoming All In pay-per-view, considering the prestige of the World Tag Team Championship.

#1. No Jon Moxley match

Jon Moxley is one of the most beloved stars of the Jacksonville-based company. The Lunatic Fringe has been with the company since 2019 and is a three-time AEW World Champion. Furthermore, he is a member of the Blackpool Combat Club.

The former WWE Superstar hasn't wrestled since losing the IWGP World Heavyweight Title to Tetsuya Naito at Forbidden Door this past June. Media reports have claimed that Moxley has been given a well-deserved break by the promotion.

However, considering All In is the company's marquee event, Tony Khan could have booked The Purveyor of Violence for a match to add grandeur to the PPV. The former WWE Champion was involved in a Stadium Stampede Match last year.
