3 Current/former WWE Superstars who are unlikely to appear in AEW ever again
Many former WWE stars have jumped ship to AEW and vice versa. Talents like Baron Corbin, Indi Hartwell, and Tegan Nox recently said their goodbyes to the Stamford-based promotion. They may or may not end up in All Elite Wrestling, but here are the names of three current/former WWE Superstars who are unlikely to appear in the Tony Khan-led company ever again.
The list includes two former world champions and a current tag team champion.
#1 CM Punk
CM Punk and Tony Khan are seemingly not on great terms. The former had several issues during his time in the Jacksonville-based promotion.
Punk was involved in a backstage brawl with Jack Perry at All In 2023 that led Khan to fire him from the company. Before that, he had a backstage altercation with The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega at All Out 2022, which resulted in his suspension.
The Second City Saint parted ways with AEW last year. Since he returned to WWE at Survivor Series 2023, Punk has been having a good time. Therefore, wrestling fans might never see the former world champion set foot inside an All Elite Wrestling ring again.
#2 Jake Hager
Jake Hager (formerly called Jack Swagger in WWE) was with AEW from 2019 to 2024. He left the organization earlier this year after an underwhelming run.
Hager recently made a shocking claim on X/Twitter, saying that his former boss and AEW head honcho Tony Khan was a communist. He added that Khan asked him to keep this a secret or he would face repercussions. There appears to be some hostility between the former world champion and the popular sports executive, which may discourage him from returning to AEW in the future.
#3 Jade Cargill
Jade Cargill left AEW in September 2023. Soon after she departed from the Jacksonville-based promotion, she inked a deal with the global sports entertainment juggernaut. She was seemingly the first to sign with the organization after its sale to Endeavor and became an instant attraction upon her arrival.
In the past year, she has been treated extremely well in the Stamford-based company. She is thriving under Triple H's guidance. Cargill is one-half of the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions alongside The EST Bianca Belair. Given how The Game has been booking her, it is unlikely that she'll leave the company and return to All Elite Wrestling in the future.
