3 Directions for Jon Moxley after winning the AEW World Title at WrestleDream 2024

Jon Moxley went to war against Bryan Danielson at WrestleDream on Saturday, October 12. He came out on top after a grueling battle with his former Blackpool Combat Club stablemate.

Not only did Moxley end Danielson's AEW World Championship reign but also sent the now-former champion to the hospital on a stretcher. Moreover, The Purveyor of Violence retired The American Dragon from full-time in-ring competition at the event.

Now that Mox has become champion, what's next for him? Let's explore this in detail in this article.

#1 Jon Moxley and Darby Allin reignite their feud

When Jon Moxley attacked Bryan Danielson after he won the match, Wheeler Yuta and Darby Allin arrived to save The American Dragon. However, Yuta surprisingly turned his back on Danielson and choked him out with a plastic bag. Allin was made to watch the veteran suffer as the Blackpool Combat Club brutally assaulted him.

Moxley previously snatched the opportunity to challenge for the World Championship from Allin. In September, the former Dean Ambrose defeated the face-painted star to secure a title shot. After all this, the ex-TNT Champion might hold a grudge against The Purveyor of Violence. Hence, he could start a rivalry and seek revenge for himself and Bryan Danielson.

#2 Feud against Tony Khan (Team AEW) for the control of the company

A while ago, Jon Moxley hinted that everything he had done since he returned on the August 28 episode of Dynamite was for someone else. Many fans thought that former WWE star Shane McMahon might be pulling the strings to orchestrate Tony Khan's downfall.

Shane-O Mac could soon make his debut in AEW and join forces with the new World Champion to take control of the promotion. Fans would love to see Tony Khan and Co. fight the evil forces to maintain peace in All Elite Wrestling.

#3 Bryan Danielson returns to take revenge on Moxley

Bryan Danielson has officially retired from full-time in-ring competition. However, he might still return to the company as a part-time wrestler. The American Dragon didn't get a proper send-off at WrestleDream. Therefore, fans might see him come back to take revenge on Jon Moxley.

While the abovementioned prospect is intriguing, it is important to note that Danielson has been dealing with neck issues and other injuries. Hence, it'll be a while before we see him back inside an AEW ring. He could arrive after recovering from his injuries and aim to regain the coveted gold.
