3 Former WWE Superstars who became injury-prone after joining AEW

AEW has come a long way since its inception and has genuinely placed itself as a contender to WWE. The stars in the squared circle and the shows they put out weekly are a testament to that fact.

However, despite that, the company has a reputation for being an unsafe place. The matches are sometimes very extreme, and the stars go the extra mile when executing certain spots. Jon Moxley is one such example.

Sometimes, wrestlers have been unlucky when it comes to injuries. In this article, we will take a look at three former WWE stars who have become injury-prone after joining All Elite Wrestling.

#3. Adam Cole

Adam Cole is probably one of the most unluckiest wrestlers when it comes to injuries. He has the talent to be one of the best stars on the AEW roster, and he has shown on more than one occasion how good he can be in the ring.

He accidentally broke his ankle in three places last September and has been out of action for a considerable time. He last appeared at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view in May and was seen without a walking boot for his segment with MJF. However, there is still no news on when The Panama City Playboy will make his return.

#2. Miro

AEW star Miro was booked as an unstoppable force in WWE and was genuinely scary during his initial run. He moved to All Elite Wrestling in 2020, and his time has been mixed so far, thanks to injuries.

The Bulgarian Brute was last seen in the ring at Worlds End pay-per-view in December 2023, where he beat Andrade El Idolo with some help from his ex-wife, CJ Perry.

Since then, he has been sidelined, and there has been no news on his potential return. Reports emerged that he could make a comeback in the Spring, but that was not possible.

#1. Former WWE star Bryan Danielson

Bryan Danielson is one of the most important stars in AEW, and his worth far exceeds what he brings to the ring. He has had his fair share of injuries in the past. He was even forced to retire once when he was in WWE.

Since coming to AEW, those untimely injuries have taken place regularly and were just unlucky. He got injured last year when he broke his orbital bone during his match against Kazuchika Okada and even needed to have surgery.

He recently opened up on his neck issues, which are flaring up again. One would hope that it is nothing serious and that he could wrestle for a few more years.
