3 names AEW's Blackpool Combact Club could rename themselves into

The current iteration of The Blackpool Combat Club in AEW is violent and ruthless. Its members consist of Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli, Marina Shafir, and PAC. Additionally, Moxley is the reigning AEW World Champion while Yuta, Castagnoli, and PAC hold the AEW World Trios Championship.

The BCC has gone through a lot of changes since its formation. The faction was named by their former manager William Regal, who was a member from March 2022 to December 2022. Its name is derived from the town of Blackpool, in Lancashire, England, a place with a rich history and culture in professional wrestling. When Regal was young, he used to perform in Blackpool regularly.

Regal, Moxley, and Bryan Danielson were the first members of this faction. However, a lot has changed since 2022. Regal has gone back to the WWE, while The American Dragon was brutally kicked out of the faction at All Out 2024. Furthermore, after The leader of the "Yes!" movement lost the AEW World Championship to Moxley at WrestleDream, he was mercilessly assaulted by the group. The nature of this assault was so violent, that Danielson was taken out of the arena in a stretcher.

The Blackpool Combact Club is in dire need of a name change. Here are 3 options that could be considered.

#3. The Deathriders could be AEW's overlords

Jon Moxley used the "Death Rider" moniker after he left the WWE in 2019. He used it predominantly when he was wrestling in the independent circuit and New Japan Pro Wrestling. Furthermore, his finisher is also called Death Rider.

The philosophy of this character was simple: a raw and unfiltered approach to wrestling. Moxley and his AEW stable have taken this ideology to the next level in the past few weeks. All of them are practicing controlled violence and changing The Blackpool Combat Club's name to "The Deathriders" would be well-recieved.

#2. The Deftones

Jon Moxley is a massive fan of music, especially the metal genre. He loves several bands but shares a special relationship with the California alternative metal band, Deftones. In his autobiography titled 'Mox,' he revealed that his favorite album of all time is the band's 1997 album, 'Around the Fur'.

The Purveyor of Violence could maybe convince AEW founder Tony Khan to change The Blackpool Combat Club's name to The Deftones or The Deaftones. This way, the group can pay tribute to the band.

#1. Cincinnati Combact Club/ Three C/ Triple C

The Blackpool Combact Club could simply replace the word Blackpool with Cincinnati. This is because the group's leader, Moxley was born and grew up in the American city of Cincinnati. Furthermore, he and his family reportedly reside there to this day.

By putting Cincinnati in the name of this group, he can pray tribute to his hometown. Furthermore, the members can make the city their homebase and dominate All Elite Wrestling by leaps and bounds.
