3 Signs Bryan Danielson will retire after Jon Moxley feud at WrestleDream 2024

AEW star Bryan Danielson may wrestle his last match as a full-time wrestler at WrestleDream this year. He will seemingly be headlining the event against Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship. The event will be held in his hometown, Washington.

Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson have a ton of history together in the Jacksonville-based promotion. The duo were members of The Blackpool Combat Club alongside William Regal, Wheeler Yuta, and Claudio Castagnoli. The faction dominated every other group for many months. However, the stable didn't seem as usual in the last few months. Shockingly, the BCC broke up at All Out pay-per-view.

The Lunatic Fringe betrayed Danielson by suffocating him with a plastic bag. The former also formed a new faction involving PAC, Claudio Castagnoli and Marina Shafir. They have dominated the entire locker room in just a couple of weeks, and Moxley set his sights on the world title. The latter defeated Darby Allin and threw him out of the race for the AEW World Championship.

For those who don't know, Bryan Danielson has been reiterating that he will be hanging up his boots after his current contract with the promotion. As confirmed by him, The American Dragon's contract expired in August 2024. The details of his current deal are unknown, but he announced that he would not be wrestling after dropping the AEW World Championship.

Therefore, the 43-year-old star's full-time career would be over if he loses against Jon Moxley this weekend at WrestleDream pay-per-view. Moreover, there are multiple instances where eagle-eyed fans must have picked up that Bryan Danielson subtly hinted that he would be retiring in his hometown.
