3 stars who could debut on AEW Dynamite: Blood & Guts and 3 who could return

The upcoming episode of AEW Dynamite will mark the next chapter of the rivalry between Team AEW and the new Elite. After weeks of verbal back-and-forth, the two sides will take on each other in a violent Blood & Guts Match.

Following their disappointing loss at Double or Nothing, Team AEW will look to return the favor to the villainous faction inside the deadly double-caged structure. Besides the annual Blood & Guts Match, the show will also feature an FTW Championship bout between Chris Jericho and Minoru Suzuki.

Meanwhile, Britt Baker will face her former rival, Hikaru Shida, in her first wrestling match in 2024. The last episode of Dynamite led to a huge surge in the ratings for the Tony Khan-led company. Following last week's success, Khan will have several surprises in store to further continue AEW's recent momentum.

In this article, let's look at three stars who could debut on AEW Dynamite: Blood and Guts and three stars who could make their return.

#3 Stars that could debut on Dynamite: Kamille

Former NWA star Kamille signed with All Elite Wrestling at the beginning of 2024. The 31-year-old star also attracted interest from WWE, before eventually deciding to sign with the Jacksonville-based promotion.

However, Kamille has not made a single on-screen appearance on television despite having signed with AEW months ago. The situation could change on the upcoming episode of Dynamite, where The Brickhouse could join forces with Mercedes Mone.

The CEO has actively tried to avoid Britt Baker since the latter returned at Forbidden Door 2024. However, The DMD has no intentions to stop hunting down the TBS Champion, until she gets her title match at All In.

With Baker targeting her every week, Mercedes Mone will require an ally to help neutralize the threat of The DMD. Kamille could perfectly fill in the role of Mone's bodyguard, helping her fend off the former AEW Women's World Champion.

The TBS Champion could interfere in Britt Baker's match against Hikaru Shida, prompting The DMD to go after Mone. Kamille could make her shocking debut during this segment by blindsiding Baker.

#3 Stars who could return on Dynamite: Former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega

Kenny Omega currently finds himself away from in-ring action due to his ongoing recovery from diverticulitis. The Cleaner recently made an appearance on Dynamite in May 2024, where he was taken out by the new Elite and Jack Perry. The Young Bucks have seemingly parted ways with their fellow EVP, with Kazuchika Okada replacing him in the faction.

While Omega is unlikely to feature in physical combat anytime soon, he could still settle his past scores with The Elite on the upcoming edition of Dynamite. The Best Bout Machine could make his presence felt during the Blood & Guts Match, causing distraction for the heel group.

The former AEW World Champion may not take a bump, but his presence alone could leave The Elite unsettled. The Cleaner could further help the babyfaces by passing them some weapons, allowing Team AEW to finish off the vulnerable heels.

#2 and #1 Stars who could debut: The Motor City Machine Guns

Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, collectively known as The Motor City Machine Guns, are currently among the hottest free agents in pro wrestling. Considered one of the best tag teams of the modern generation, the duo has attracted interest from both WWE and AEW.

While the two stars are seemingly WWE-bound, we are yet to have any confirmation on their potential deal with the Stamford-based promotion. When it comes to signing hot free agents, Tony Khan is probably the most competitive booker in the industry, and it wouldn't be a surprise if he managed to convince MCMG to sign with AEW instead.

As an experienced tag team, MCMG will likely feel more at home in the Tony Khan-led company and not WWE, where they may have to go through NXT first. AEW currently has one of the most poorly booked tag team divisions in the world, a situation that could change drastically with the arrival of the Motor City Machine Guns.

With WWE recently signing Stephanie Vaquer, Tony Khan could get even with the Triple H-led regime by acquiring the services of Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley. The two stars could make their debut on the upcoming edition of Dynamite to send shockwaves across the wrestling industry.

#2 Stars who could return on Dynamite: Sammy Guevara

Sammy Guevara was handed an indefinite suspension by the management in February 2024, after he had failed to follow the No-Concussion protocol in a match against Jeff Hardy on Rampage. Since then, The Spanish God has been forced to sit on the sidelines, even though his suspension had already been lifted in May 2024.

Following a six-month-long absence, Mr. Money's Worth could make his return on AEW Dynamite: Blood & Guts. The former TNT Champion could come to the aid of his former mentor Chris Jericho, who is all set to defend his FTW Championship against Minoru Suzuki.

Guevara could help The Learning Tree fend off the Japanese legend, who is laser-focused on taking the FTW Championship off Jericho. The interference would allow Guevara to realign with Le Champion, continuing the trend of him joining a Chris Jericho-led faction.

The Spanish God could help strengthen The Learning Tree's faction, which has recently emerged as a dominant group on Dynamite. With Big Bill already by his side, it wouldn't be surprising if Chris Jericho targets the AEW World Trios Championship following Sammy Guevara's return.

#1 Stars who could return on Dynamite: Kota Ibushi

Kota Ibushi has been on an in-ring hiatus for seven months. In January 2024, The Golden Star wrestled against Naomichi Marufuji at a Pro Wrestling NOAH show, where he sustained several unfortunate injuries. Following a long period of rehabilitation, Ibushi is now back in the squared circle.

The former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion recently made his return to DDT Pro Wrestling after seven years, where he faced Sanshiro Takagi in his comeback match. Now that Ibushi has been cleared to wrestle, the 42-year-old star could be on his way back to All Elite Wrestling.

The Golden Star could appear on the latest episode of Dynamite to confront the new Elite. Interestingly, Ibushi was part of the Blood & Guts Match in 2023, where he represented The Golden Elite against the Blackpool Combat Club.

However, there might be no love lost between Ibushi and The Young Bucks, who recently turned their backs on his best friend, Kenny Omega. The 42-year-old star could cause a distraction for the heels in this contest, allowing Team AEW to take advantage.

Ibushi's interference would certainly draw the ire of Kazuchika Okada, setting up a feud for the Continental Championship between the two Japanese legends.
