3-time WWE champion to debut in AEW and help Jon Moxley dethrone Bryan Danielson? Exploring the chances
In just a little over two weeks from now, Jon Moxley will challenge Bryan Danielson for the AEW World Championship. Could outside interference from a former WWE icon help crown a new champion? This would be Shane McMahon.
This past Wednesday on Dynamite: Grand Slam, Mox defeated Darby Allin to become the new number-one contender for the world title. On October 12 at WrestleDream, both men will fight for the world title. Bryan Danielson has claimed that he will retire once he drops the AEW World Championship.
Jon Moxley could do everything to ensure this happens, including using one of his former allies against him. Shane has been linked to the company, but there has yet to be concrete information on this. Should the three-time WWE champion come in, he could come in immediately as someone looking to make big changes.
Mox has hinted at taking over the company, and someone who has been known as a rebel is Shane McMahon. The former WWE icon may come in and cost Bryan his title and his career. Following this, it remains to be seen whether Danielson calls it a career quietly or whether these events may turn into a full-blown war between himself and the faction that Jon Moxley has created.
Tommy Dreamer believes Bryan Danielson may be wrapping his career up
This past Wednesday on Dynamite: Grand Slam, Bryan Danielson faced Nigel McGuinness in a dream rematch from their ROH days 15 years ago.
On Busted Open Radio, Tommy Dreamer gave his thoughts on the match. He enjoyed this and was impressed with Nigel's in-ring performance. He talked about why this match could have been booked, and this was ticking down this dream match before Bryan retires.
"I enjoyed it. I enjoyed the story, got the magnitude of the match just by the two of them standing in front of each other. More impressed with Nigel McGuinness that he has, like I said, not had a match in a long, long time, went the distance, I enjoyed the end. At the end of the day, I really truly feel if I could quadruple down on my original thought, this is to get the match down before we say goodbye to Bryan Danielson," said Dreamer.
This may be an indication that the American Dragon's career may surely be coming to an end. He will now face off with another star he has much history with, which may be his retirement match.
Fans must stay tuned to see whether this will be his last pay-per-view of the company or just one of the last.
