3-time WWE champion to shockingly be revealed as the mastermind behind The Hurt Syndicate? Exploring potential twist

With the three main members coming together, could a certain former WWE veteran be revealed as the mastermind behind bringing the Hurt Syndicate to AEW? This would be Shane McMahon.

Last Wednesday, Swerve Strickland ended up beating Shelton Benjamin in a singles match in what was the main event of the night. Right after the match, MVP made a call, and a few months later, the debuting Bobby Lashley came out to send a statement to Swerve and the entire locker room.

While MVP may be the manager of the group, Shane O'Mac could be the one putting this all together. After his various meetups with Tony Khan and some AEW stars, the speculation that he could be headed to the promotion has been stronger than ever.

With the various connections he has in the industry, getting the Hurt Syndicate together for AEW is something someone like him could pull off. In his RAW Underground project for WWE, he had the Hurt Business run amok. He may want to do the same, but this time around, he could change the landscape of the Tony Khan-led promotion.

WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry says AEW needs someone like Shane McMahon

Recently, WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry gave his take on Shane McMahon coming in to be the figure of power that Tony Khan and the company need.

While speaking on Busted Open Radio a few weeks ago, the World's Strongest Man talked about how they needed someone strong-willed who could get the locker room together. Shane could be someone respectable, but one who could set the promotion straight.

"I think that Shane McMahon going and being that force would be a good idea," Henry said. "If you get paid $3-5 million to go in and tell everybody else what to do. 'You wanna work the indies? The f***in' indies are calling. You do what I tell you, or you're out of here. I'll bring somebody in here who can do your job just as good as you can.' ... That's what you need. AEW don't have that. There are no teeth. There's no power."

Henry may be speaking from existence, seeing as he worked for the promotion before. It remains to be seen whether TK can bring in the former WWE Superstar and whether he'll assume both on-screen and backstage roles for the company.
