33-year-old AEW star to turn heel and become the new member of The Hurt Syndicate? Analyzing the chances

AEW star Will Hobbs made his shocking return to television on the recent episode of Dynamite. However, he could pull a shocking heel turn and align with The Hurt Syndicate in the future.

Last night on AEW Dynamite, Ricochet's surprise tag team partner against Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita (The Don Callis Family) turned out to be Will Hobbs. The star also confirmed that he's no longer a part of The Don Callis Family which could be interesting for the future of the 33-year-old.

The Hurt Syndicate (MVP, Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin) has been rolling high since the past month in All Elite Wrestling. MVP has handed over his business card to stars like Lio Rush and Ricochet. An attempt to potentially bring Powerhouse Hobbs into the faction could do wonders for his career. Hobbs can turn heel and easily pull off the character of a no-nonsense businessman in the faction.

With the added muscle of Hobbs alongside Lashley and a high-flying Shelton Benjamin, The Hurt Syndicate would become unstoppable and give top AEW factions like The Elite and The Blackpool Combat Club a run for their money.

The Hurt Syndicate's Shelton Benjamin on his future matchups in AEW

Shelton Benjamin recently competed in a brutal match against former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland. On the Busted Open podcast, the veteran opened up about his potential future opponents in the Jacksonville-based promotion. Benjamin noted how there are familiar faces like Christian Cage and Adam Copeland and revealed that he would like to wrestle both stars. Shelton Benjamin also spoke about all the first-time matchup opportunities he has in All Elite Wrestling.

"There's even some old, familiar faces, there's obviously, I've always felt that myself and Christian have dynamite matches, obviously me and Edge had dynamite matches. There's just so much talent. When I start going down the list, there's so many first-time opportunities there (...) it's a very long list, but those are just the highlights, those aren't the only names on that list." The fans will have to wait and see if Tony Khan books some matches featuring Shelton Benjamin against Christian Cage or Adam Copeland in the future.
