4 AEW babyfaces who could turn heel and join forces with Jon Moxley
The fallout of AEW WrestleDream led to Jon Moxley declaring war against Tony Khan. The new AEW World Champion has stated that he's not happy with how Khan runs the promotion and what has become of it. So, he has taken the responsibility to bring the company back on the right track. His recent actions have spread chaos all over the locker room and the stars are being forced to choose sides for the battle that's about to unfold soon.
Mox already has Claudio Castagnoli, Marina Shafir, Wheeler Yuta, and PAC on his side. Many more could join his side in the upcoming weeks but here are five babyfaces in the company who we think might join hands with The One True King.
#1. Orange Cassidy
For the past few weeks, Orange Cassidy has been dropping hints of a heel turn. First, he walked out on Dark Order getting mauled by BCC on AEW Battle of the Belts 12. Then, he was too late to save his friend Chuck Taylor from BCC's attack on Dynamite.
Following the attack on the retired pro wrestler, Cassidy had a brief argument with Daniel Garcia and said that he would take care of the Jon Moxley situation and company this Wednesday. There is a chance that fans might see him turn heel on Dynamite this week.
#2 Darby Allin
Darby Allin is one of the top babyfaces in AEW right now. When Mox attacked Bryan at WrestleDream, he was one of the few who rushed out to help and save the fallen American Dragon. Unfortunately, his efforts were rendered unsuccessful by BCC.
Allin was also supposed to get a shot at the AEW World Championship which Mox stole from him. All this disappointment from being a babyface could make him frustrated and force him to snap, ultimately turning heel to join Jon Moxley's team.
#3 Eddie Kingston
Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston share a long history. The two stars have been friends since their days together in the Indies. They parted ways when The Purveyor of Violence went to WWE but got reunited in AEW. In 2021, they allied against Kenny Omega and his partners The Young Bucks.
The Mad King is currently on the shelf due to an injury he sustained at NJPW Resurgence during his match against Gabe Kidd. When he returns, the fans might see him tagging along with his long-time friend.
#4 Britt Baker
Back in August, Britt Baker and MJF reportedly got into a backstage altercation after the female wrestler said something negative about The Wolf of Wrestling and his girlfriend. AEW's disciplinary committee held The Doctor accountable for the incident and suspended her while Friedman was allowed to walk scot-free.
This incident could have led to Baker harboring anti-AEW/Tony Khan feelings. Therefore, she could join Jon Moxley to take revenge on the CEO of the company for not treating her fairly.
