4 Reasons why Jon Moxley should not walk out of Full Gear as AEW World Champion
Jon Moxley is on a warpath, and it looks like it won't be stopping anytime soon. Ever since turning heel at WrestleDream, he has looked like a different person, and his transformation has been scary, to say the least.
He will be going into AEW Full Gear with lots of confidence as he looks to defend his world title against Orange Cassidy. This has been a short feud resulting from a power struggle between Moxley and the entire AEW roster.
It looks more than certain that the former WWE star will be retaining the gold. However, in this article, we will look at four reasons why Jon Moxley should not walk out of Full Gear with the title.
#4. Orange Cassidy deserves to win the title at least once
Orange Cassidy has been with AEW since its inception and is one of the hardest-working wrestlers on the roster. That is true, even though it may seem like his languid style gives the impression that he just does not put in the effort.
Despite all the time he has been in AEW, he has never once won the world title, and if there is anyone who deserves it, it is him. A win against Jon Moxley at Full Gear might be great for Cassidy as he will fulfill his destiny.
#3. Jon Moxley losing will vindicate Team AEW
Jon Moxley has been at odds with the AEW roster, and at this time, no one is on his side. His feud with Orange Cassidy came out of his back-and-forth with Daniel Garcia and the rest of the roster.
If Orange Cassidy somehow manages to defeat Moxley, it will serve as vindication for Team AEW and will go a long way toward showing that not one person can rule the roster.
#2. A potential title match between Orange Cassidy and Daniel Garcia
Daniel Garcia recently signed a new deal with AEW, and it looks like he is slowly being pushed as one of the top stars, given his feud with Moxley and Co. It looks like he is in this for the long haul.
Another upside to Cassidy defeating Moxley is that it could put Daniel Garcia in the title picture. That way, his well-deserved ascent to the top will be confirmed.
#1. Jon Moxley could flip
As mentioned earlier, Jon Moxley looks like he is going to listen to no one in his quest to achieve total supremacy in AEW. However, a loss to Cassidy might not be all doom and gloom.
That could give the former WWE Superstar the perfect opportunity to show off his dark side even more and become an even bigger heel. That would be a good story progression and will build his character as the main villain of AEW.
