4 stars Britt Baker has had backstage issues with in AEW

Britt Baker is one of the most decorated stars in the AEW women's division. As the first-ever female talent to be signed by the Tony Khan-led company, The Doctor commands a certain level of respect backstage.

The DMD is amongst the most important stars in her division and has previously held the AEW Women's Championship. However, Baker is reportedly not as much of a popular figure backstage as she has failed to get along with several of her colleagues in the past.

From prominent female talents to a former AEW World Champion, many high-profile names in All Elite Wrestling are allegedly on bad terms with the 33-year-old Superstar. Rumors about Britt Baker's tussles with her coworkers often make the rounds on the internet, which leads to a decline in the backstage morale in the Jacksonville-based promotion.

In this article, let's look at four superstars Britt Baker has had backstage issues with in All Elite Wrestling.

#4. Britt Baker's issues with MJF have become public

Britt Baker once used to be good friends with Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF). Unfortunately, The DMD is no longer on good terms with The Salt of the Earth, which has become a matter of concern backstage in AEW.

The historic 250th episode of Dynamite witnessed MJF defeat Will Ospreay in an hour-long classic to become the new International Champion. However, Baker was not too impressed with MJF taking up a significant amount of TV time on Dynamite.

The DMD made some critical remarks towards a friend in the women's locker room, where Alicia Atout, MJF's real-life girlfriend, was also present. The Doctor's heated comments soon reached MJF, who allegedly confronted the former Women's Champion in the female locker room.

The 33-year-old star was infuriated at Alicia Atout for sharing locker-room conversations with the Salt of the Earth. Some heated conversations took place between the three individuals, prompting the company's HR team to get involved. Britt Baker was handed a legitimate suspension for her unprofessional comments, while MJF was deemed free from any repercussions.

Although Britt Baker has returned on television since then, the incident has once again brought the chaotic backstage environment in the Tony Khan-led company into the spotlight.

#3. Former AEW star LuFisto made some shocking revelations

In August 2023, ex-AEW star, LuFisto, leveled some serious allegations against Tony Khan, accusing the AEW head booker of not prioritizing women's wrestling. The veteran also slammed Khan for not handling the backstage issues in an unbiased manner.

The First Lady of Hardcore shed light on a backstage incident with Britt Baker and her allies, where the talents who filed a complaint against The DMD were the ones who got punished. Instead of launching a proper investigation, TK allegedly took action against the stars who had scheduled a meeting to discuss their issues with Baker.

The 44-year-old star was extremely dissatisfied with Tony Khan picking favorites instead of solving the growing issues in the female locker room. LuFisto was infuriated about Britt Baker escaping any disciplinary action, even though she had gained notoriety for not cooperating with her fellow female stars.

#2. Britt Baker has seemingly developed issues with Jamie Hayter

Jamie Hayter and Britt Baker were once one of the most intimidating forces in the AEW women's division. While The DMD did tease turning her back on Hayter on multiple occasions, the duo did not split up and continued to dominate their opponents. Unfortunately, the ever-shiniest striker got injured in May 2023, which has kept her on the sidelines till now.

Many fans are waiting for Jamie Hayter to return to television so that she can resume her onscreen alliance with The Doctor. Unfortunately, the two superstars no longer see eye-to-eye with each other, making their much-awaited reunion unlikely to happen.

In a recent Q&A session, Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp dropped a bombshell about Britt Baker's present relationship with Jamie Hayter. As claimed by Sapp, The DMD has developed personal issues with her former protege, and they won't likely have a program together anytime soon.

It would be one of the biggest missed opportunities in AEW history if The Doctor's paths never crossed with the ever-shiniest striker ever again. Although their onscreen pairing showed a lot of promise, the creative team has yet to fully capitalize on their chemistry as a tag team.

Moreover, the audience deserves to witness a full-fledged rivalry between the two former AEW Women's Champions, which may sadly not transpire in the near future due to their issues.

#1. Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa are bitter rivals

Britt Baker's offscreen rivalry with Thunder Rosa is well-documented. Despite being the flagbearers of their division, the two stars rarely get along with each other. The Doctor has been very open about her dislike for Rosa, having made some harsh comments about La Mera Mera on multiple occasions.

In March 2023, Baker called out Thunder Rosa for not fulfilling her responsibilities as the AEW Women's Champion. A few months ago, the 38-year-old star had relinquished her AEW Women's Championship due to a back injury.

However, Rosa continued to travel around the world for her personal projects, much to the dislike of The Doctor. Britt Baker questioned the legitimacy of her injury, criticizing Rosa for not showing up to work after being crowned the new champion. Interestingly, it was Baker herself who demanded for La Mera Mera to be stripped of her title.

It is quite unfortunate that two of AEW's biggest female talents are so uncooperative behind the scenes. During their historic Lights Out match in 2021, the two women showed how excellent their in-ring chemistry could be, if they agree to keep their differences aside.
