4 things Sting could do at AEW All In 2025

The main event of AEW Revolution 2024 saw Sting ending his wrestling career on a high by retaining the AEW World Tag Team Championship with Darby Allin. The duo took down The Young Bucks in a hard-hitting contest to pick up the historic victory.

Although The Stinger is no longer an active in-ring competitor, he remains an irreplaceable backstage figure in AEW. Soon after his retirement, Tony Khan made it clear that The Icon would always be a guiding force for the Jacksonville-based promotion in the future.

The head booker of All Elite Wrestling made some huge announcements in the last few days. Days before All In, Tony Khan announced that the 2025 iteration of the grand event would emanate from the Globe Life Field Stadium, in Arlington, Texas. One of the many individuals to react to this groundbreaking headline was Sting, who hinted at appearing at All In 2025 in some capacity.

Now that he is retired, The Stinger may use different means to surprise the audience at AEW's next stadium show in Texas. In this article, let's look at four things The Icon could do at All In next year.

#4. The Stinger takes out an old rival at All In

Sting made his AEW debut in December 2020. The WCW legend enjoyed a fruitful three-year run in the Tony Khan-led company before he officially hung up his boots at Revolution, earlier this year. The Icon also made some notable enemies along the way, who would have been relieved to see The Vigilante ride off into the sunset.

While the WWE Hall of Famer is officially done with in-ring competition, he still remains glued to everything that happens in AEW. If an individual goes on a reign of terror in the company, The Stinger might rise again to serve justice.

At All In 2025, AEW could book someone with a storied history, with The Icon, such as Christian Cage or MJF in a promo segment. The star could go on a rant about the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion, only to be interrupted by The Icon himself.

The Hooligan could then proceed to take down his rival with a blow, much to the pleasure of the Texas audience. It would be a similar moment to The Undertaker's appearance at WrestleMania 40, where The Deadman made a shocking appearance to plant The Rock with a Choke Slam.

#3. Sting hosts All In 2025

For the first two All In events under the AEW banner, the management exclusively picked Wembley Stadium, London, as the venue. However, Tony Khan will have a massive challenge in sight when he presents the promotion's first major stadium show in the USA in 2025. With his pride on the line, Khan would be adamant about making the Texas show a massive success.

The AEW head booker could raise the hype for the next iteration of All In by announcing Sting as the guest host. It would be a different kind of role for the 65-year-old star, who has primarily played a serious character throughout his career.

If The Icon becomes the host of All In Texas, it will surely garner a lot of attention to the marquee event. Fans absolutely adore The Vigilante for his contributions to the wrestling business and are bound to tune into the show to catch a glimpse of him. It would also be a fun little project for The Hooligan, who would be eager to help AEW in any capacity.

#2. The Icon gets inducted into the AEW Hall of Fame

Next year will mark the sixth since AEW's historic inception in 2019. With WWE already having a prestigious Hall of Fame ceremony, it is time that the Jacksonville-based promotion also honors legends associated with its operations, who have helped the company grow exponentially in recent years.

At All In next year, Tony Khan could announce the creation of AEW's exclusive Hall of Fame. Furthermore, TK could honor the undeniable legacy of Sting by revealing him as the first-ever HOF inductee in the history of All Elite Wrestling.

It would be a heartwarming moment for the Icon, who was once forced to prematurely retire in 2016. Not only did The Vigilante get to end his career on his own terms in AEW, but he also emerged as a reliable asset for the company's President.

Considering his immense contributions to the Jacksonville-based promotion, it would be fitting if the WCW legend became a first-ballot AEW Hall of Famer in 2025.

#1. Helps Darby Allin become a world champion

Sting has a storied history with Darby Allin. Soon after his debut in the Jacksonville-based promotion in 2020, The Icon took the daredevil star under his wing, helping him turn into AEW's next sensation. The Stinger's guidance worked wonders for Allin's career, as he went on to establish himself as a valuable talent.

While Darby Allin has already found remarkable success in the mid-card division, he may break into the main event scene by All In 2025. Sting's appearance at the extravaganza in Texas may not be a coincidence, as he may end up helping Allin capture the AEW World Championship.

If The Invisible Man manages to sustain his momentum in 2025, Tony Khan could elevate him to a world title match at All In. Allin could play the role of a sympathetic babyface in the match, who would find himself vulnerable against the defending champion.

The Stinger could even the odds for Darby during this contest, allowing him to take down whoever his opponent would be. It would be a perfect way for The Icon to return the favor to his protege, who helped him emerge victorious in his final outing as a pro wrestler.
