4-time champion must help his hero Bryan Danielson against Jon Moxley's group in AEW
A current champion in AEW could help Bryan Danielson in his ongoing feud against the former World Champion, Jon Moxley, and his new faction. The story began after a major betrayal at All Out.
The four-time champion in question is Wheeler Yuta. Yuta is currently the AEW Trios Champion and a former three-time ROH Pure Champion. At the recent All Out pay-per-view, Jon Moxley shocked everyone by turning on Bryan Danielson and introducing his new faction with Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, and Marina Shafir.
Interestingly, Wheeler Yuta was standing in the ring confused and tried to save Danielson while he was getting choked out with a plastic bag by Mox. In the upcoming feud between Danielson and Moxley's new faction, Yuta could help his hero, The American Dragon for the following reasons:
Wheeler Yuta's initial reaction to Jon Moxley's betrayal told the story
As mentioned earlier, Wheeler Yuta seemed heartbroken by Jon Moxley betraying Bryan Danielson and choking him with a plastic bag. Yuta tried to save Bryan but was pulled back by PAC and later taken out.
Wheeler Yuta's reaction to the betrayal showed everyone that he sides with his hero, The American Dragon, and would stay by his side in the upcoming feud.
Wheeler Yuta is the ideal successor to The American Dragon
Bryan Danielson has been full of praise for Wheeler Yuta on multiple occasions. This tells us that Yuta could be the successor to 'The American Dragon' moniker after Bryan hangs up his boots.
The aforementioned reason is enough to tell that Wheeler Yuta would be an ideal protege to his mentor, Danielson, and would help him against Mox's new faction.
Wheeler Yuta could get the rub from Bryan Danielson for a future push
Wheeler Yuta is just 27 and is constantly evolving as a professional wrestler. As Yuta stays by Bryan Danielson's side until his retirement as a full-time wrestler, he could get the much-needed rub from a veteran and would be ready for a future push as well.
Overall, Wheeler Yuta could establish himself as a top babyface in the ongoing storyline between Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley's new faction by standing beside his mentor, The American Dragon, throughout the feud. Only time will tell how the story develops going forward.
