3 Underutilized stars Tony Khan could bring back before the end of 2024

Over the last five years, Tony Khan has assembled a strong roster for AEW. The Jacksonville-based company is directly competing with WWE, which is a massive achievement because no organization has been able to do this since the Monday Night War.

Tony Khan has some of the biggest names in the industry currently working for him, including Jon Moxley, Adam Copeland, Kenny Omega, "Hangman" Adam Page, MJF, Darby Allin, Jon Moxley, Toni Storm, Mercedes Moné, and more. Additionally, prominent former WWE stars such as Shane McMahon and Bobby Lashley are heavily rumored to join All Elite Wrestling soon.

Unfortunately, a few names have simply fallen into obscurity since the roster grew in size. There is a possibility that Tony Khan will bring back a few underutilized stars this year and book them strongly. These names are immensely talented and have a lot of potential.

Here are three underutilized stars Tony Khan could bring back before the end of 2024:

#3 Miro (If Tony Khan does not release him from his contract)

Miro is one of the most dominant wrestlers in AEW. He made his debut in the company after his WWE run ended in 2020. Initially, things were looking good for him, as he was picking up wins. The Redeemer even had a run with the TNT Championship. Unfortunately, he has been away from in-ring action since last December.

Recently, it was reported that God's Favorite Champion requested his release from the company. Instead of releasing the former Rusev, Tony Khan might come up with a compelling storyline for him and bring him back on TV this year.

#2 Wardlow

Several fans across the globe believe that AEW has treated Wardlow unjustly. He is a force to be reckoned with and has the potential to become a generational star. However, he appears to be irrelevant at the moment, despite being a three-time TNT Champion.

Mr. Mayhem is a member of the Undisputed Kingdom, alongside Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, and Roderick Strong. He is only 36 years old and is capable of turning his career around. But for him to be taken seriously, Tony Khan has to book him well. The company's president might finally utilize him properly by booking him in meaningful programs before 2024 ends.

#1 Ricky Starks

Ricky Starks has been severely underutilized by AEW. Although he is highly charismatic, The Stroke Daddy has had an underwhelming run in the company.

Starks was once a member of Team Taz, with ECW legend Taz as its leader. The group also consisted of Brian Cage, Powerhouse Hobbs, Hook, and Dante Martin. The 34-year-old is a former AEW World Tag Team Champion and a former FTW Champion.

The Absolute has hardly wrestled on AEW TV in 2024 and is rumored to leave the company when his contract ends. However, there is a possibility that Tony Khan will bring him back by the end of this year and finally give him a memorable run as a singles competitor.
