5 former WWE stars Mercedes Moné (fka Sasha Banks) could form an alliance with in AEW

Mercedes Moné (fka Sasha Banks) has enjoyed a dominant run in AEW since making her debut at Dynamite: Big Business. Despite her recent successes, The CEO suddenly found herself without any allies after her associate Kamille seemingly quit her employ this week on the Wednesday-night show.

The now-friendless former WWE Superstar has a major target on her back, given that she holds both the AEW TBS Title and the NJPW Strong Women's Title. However, there are a number of individuals in the Tony Khan-led company, who formerly worked in the sports entertainment juggernaut as well, whom Moné could reach out to forge new alliances and safeguard her interests.

Let us consider five such former WWE names whom Mercedes Moné could link up with in All Elite Wrestling.

#1: Indi Hartwell debuts in AEW as Mercedes Moné's new muscle

Members of the WWE Universe were quite surprised when Indi Hartwell was released by the promotion earlier this month. Naturally, when Moné shared a picture of herself and Harley Cameron training with the 28-year-old star, speculations regarding Hartwell possibly signing with AEW started making the rounds on the internet.

Moné later explained that she had been training with Hartwell to prepare for her Full Gear 2024 TBS Championship defense against Kris Statlander - a bout she notably won without any help from her former bodyguard Kamille. The Australian could thus fill the space left by The Brickhouse and arrive in All Elite Wrestling as The Boss' new associate.

#2: Mercedes Moné forms a blockbuster alliance with Saraya

According to recent remarks from her Outcasts stable-mate Harley Cameron, Saraya has been "incapacitated" for some time now, having last wrestled in October at Dynamite: Title Tuesday. The Anti-Diva has evidently been engaged in non-wrestling projects in the meantime, although she did suggest a few days ago that her comeback may take place soon.

This opens up the very exciting possibility of Saraya aligning herself with her former WWE rival Mercedes Moné upon returning to television. The two women have a lot of history from their shared time in World Wrestling Entertainment, which could drive them to support each other's in-ring careers. Furthermore, they could eventually be booked to feud over Mercedes' championships, leading to them finally squaring off in AEW.

#3 and #4: Mercedes Moné links up with The Vendetta (Deonna Purrazzo and Taya Valkyrie)

Deonna Purrazzo and Taya Valkyrie recently joined forces on AEW programming. Dubbing themselves as The Vendetta, the duo issued a warning to the All Elite Wrestling women's locker room earlier this month, revealing that they were keeping a close eye on developments in the roster and declaring that they were going to be agents of change in the company.

Purrazzo and Valkyrie - both of whom had briefly worked in WWE prior to their current AEW run - also recently offered their help to talent who were planning to send a message to their peers and rivals. With Kamille no longer around to watch her back, Mercedes Moné could take up on The Vendetta's offer and partner with them to launch a mega-alliance.

#5: Mercedes Mone and Toni Storm forge a partnership

Toni Storm has not been coping well since she lost the AEW Women's World Championship to Mariah May at All In 2024. Her subsequent losses to Mayu Iwatani at Stardom and to La Catalina at CMLL seemingly drove her to announce her "retirement" from the sport. Pertinently, The Timeless One has not been featured on All Elite programming in months now.

Storm, who in kayfabe perceives herself to be a Hollywood star from bygone days, seems to be struggling with her confidence as of late. While she is likely going to try and reclaim her world title from Mariah May, she may fail in her efforts once again, causing her to spiral further. This could allow AEW to book an angle where Mercedes Moné allies herself with The Illustrious One to encourage her and build her back up.

The storyline could tie Storm's wrestling character to Moné, who has been open about her own interest in working in film and television further. Storm and Moné also teamed with each other in WWE, which could inform their collaboration in All Elite Wrestling. Furthermore, once their partnership dissolves, The CEO could also drop her TBS Title to Storm.
