5 Stars who could join Bobby Lashley to form AEW’s version of The Hurt Business
Bobby Lashley’s time with WWE is reportedly about to end, and it could be anybody’s guess as to where he could end up. There is a lot of talk of him eventually signing up with AEW.
In WWE, Bobby Lashley had good times, some of which came when he was the co-leader of the stable Hurt Business. He and MVP wreaked havoc on the roster and had everyone running. They were a legitimately scary stable.
If he does indeed move to AEW, then The All Mighty could form something similar to Hurt Business. In this article, we will look at five stars who could join him in the stable.
#5. Lio Rush
Lio Rush is an obvious pick. He had some history with Bobby Lashley in WWE as his manager. The two had some success as a duo. Now, he is part of AEW, and if Lashley ever moves there, he could be looking at someone that he knows and trusts.
In addition, Rush is now a full-time wrestler, unlike his time in WWE, when he was mainly a manager. The new Hurt Business could do well with someone like him in the ranks.
#4. Shelton Benjamin
Shelton Benjamin is a free agent after he left WWE a few months back. He has been having a good time on the independent scene and could be one candidate for the Hurt Business.
He was part of the same stable in WWE along with Bobby Lashley and MVP, and he could rejoin. Tony Khan is not averse to letting stars from the independent scene come over to the company and perform, and that could well be the case again.
#3. Bobby Lashley could recruit Swerve Strickland
This one is from the left field, but it makes sense for Bobby Lashley. Swerve Strickland is a big name in the company, even more so since he became the AEW World Champion.
Having a big-time star like Swerve in the ranks will benefit Bobby Lashley and give the stable a lot more credibility. It could also come in handy for Strickland, as he will have someone to look after him when he is putting his title on the line.
#2. Jay Lethal
Jay Lethal is coming to the end of his career. He had a storied career in TNA and is now part of AEW.
Since joining the company, he has not been involved in anything substantial. However, that could all change with Lashley and the Hurt Business.
Being a part of the stable could allow him to get his career back on track and have one last push for a major feud.
#1. Athena
Athena is one of the most enigmatic wrestlers in the company and, like Lashley, a powerhouse. She mostly appears in Ring of Honor, where she is the Women’s World Champion.
Having a female star in the stable would be ideal for Lashley, given the fans' interest. Athena could one day challenge for the AEW Women’s World Title, which would mean that the Hurt Business would have two of the top belts in the company.
