Absent AEW star to return and shockingly help The Elite on Dynamite this week? Exploring the possibility
Tomorrow night on AEW Dynamite, The Elite will face off against another top faction. But could a major name make their return and help The Elite? This would be Powerhouse Hobbs.
Hobbs has not been seen on AEW TV since April when he challenged Jon Moxley for the IWGP World Heavyweight Title. He sustained a major injury during the match and has been recovering from this in his time away from the ring. The former TNT Champion was spotted last week backstage during Dynamite but there has been no timeline for his return.
Tomorrow, The Young Bucks, along with Kazuchika Okada, will face off against Ospreay, Fletcher, and Konosuke Takeshita. Don Callis will surely be at ringside to call the shots, and potentially interfere in the match. Ospreay has seemingly been a babyface for some time now and has not exactly been on the same page with The DCF. Fletcher, on the other hand, has also shown signs of hesitation with the Family's tactics.
During tomorrow's match, Callis may call for some dirty tactics to secure their win, but any slight hesitation might cost them the match. This could force Don to bring in Powerhouse Hobbs to attack them to teach them a lesson. This would leave Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher on their own when they take on The Young Bucks at AEW Grand Slam two weeks from now.
Powerhouse Hobbs has hinted at going after a major title when he returns to AEW
Earlier tonight, Powerhouse Hobbs hinted at him gearing up for a return as he revealed one of his major targets. This would be him getting back his TNT Championship.
Hobbs briefly held the title last year, but this did not last long as he was dethroned by Wardlow. On X/Twitter, he posted a picture of himself with the title and hinted at wanting to challenge for the title. Currently, Jack Perry holds the title, and he has been on a great run, showing dominance in most of his title defenses.
As of now, apart from Ospreay and Fletcher, Konosuke Takeshita has shown interest in Kazuchika Okada's AEW Continental Championship. Should Powerhouse Hobbs return and go after the TNT Championship, this could mean that all four of The Elite's titles could be in jeopardy.
