Adam Copeland (fka Edge) to help WWE veteran dethrone Jon Moxley after AEW return? Looking at the chances
Jon Moxley has been making himself a lot of enemies as of late due to his actions on AEW TV. He already has Orange Cassidy, Hangman Page, and Jay White looking to win the title from him. But he has another star luring in the shadows.
Christian Cage has tried to cash in his contract for a guaranteed title match on Moxley a couple of times, but his plan has been thwarted at every turn. He came close to cashing in at Full Gear but Jay White stopped him. However, Cage's chances never looked better.
Moxley made an enemy out of FTR last week on Dynamite after seemingly kidnapping and brutalizing them. This week on Dynamite, Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood appeared via satellite where they said they weren't cleared to show up this week but that they would return for the Death Riders and they will have a friend with them. This friend could very well be Adam Copeland, who has been recovering from his leg injury. Copeland has been training and recently shared pictures from one of his training sessions with FTR and Darby Allin.
Copeland could be looking to get some revenge for his friends and they could ambush Moxley, allowing Christian Cage to cash in his contract and win the AEW World Championship.
Bully Ray criticized Jon Moxley's current gimmick
Jon Moxley has been passionate about AEW since the day he arrived in the company. Over the years, he has spilled his blood for the promotion and the fans. However, he has been disgusted with how the company has turned out and he has waged war on the entire locker room in a bid to save the company. Despite being booked as a big bad heel, many fans are not buying into the storyline.
Speaking on his Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray said that Mox should've been the babyface trying to save AEW from a big bad heel since he is the face of the company. Hence, why this storyline has fallen flat.
"I wish Jon Moxley had the heel to work with; where Jon could be the face of the place. The babyface that people want in AEW. Nobody wants to hate Jon Moxley. He's the guy who spills his blood for the company; he busts his a**. The whole Moxley heel crew, I don't think it's clicking for many people and is sure not clicking for me. Jon needs to be the guy that fights for AEW. Jon can't be the guy that's trying to bury AEW because he doesn't approve of what AEW is," he said.
It will be interesting to see if Adam Copeland will return to help FTR fight off the Death Riders.
