Adam Copeland (fka Edge) may not return to AEW alone
Adam Copeland, formerly known as Edge, has not been seen in AEW since the Double or Nothing 2024 Pay-Per-View in May. The injury he sustained during his match at the event has kept him out of action. The 50-year-old star may join forces with a top star following his return to the Tony Khan-led promotion. This would be Darby Allin.
Jon Moxley and the rest of the Blackpool Combat Club have been wreaking havoc in AEW for a few weeks now and despite their best efforts, Allin, Bryan Danielson, formerly known as Daniel Bryan, and some other members of the locker room have fallen victim to them.
Once Adam Copeland recovers from his injury, he could come in as the locker room leader who could rally the troops in this war against the Blackpool Combat Club. Seeing as he is a well-respected veteran across the industry, many would come to his side as they want to protect the company they love.
Darby Allin has been unreachable since AEW WrestleDream 2024
At the AEW WrestleDream Pay-Per-View last weekend, Darby Allin helplessly watched the Blackpool Combat Club launch a gruesome attack on Bryan Danielson. He was taped to the turnbuckle of the ring and had to watch everything unfold.
On Dynamite a few days ago, it was revealed by Excalibur on commentary that the former TNT Champion has been unreachable since the pay-per-view.
Allin has not been the type to wallow in his sorrows, so he may be instead preparing for a counterattack. He could be the one to bring up the situation to Adam Copeland and plan their next course of action.
Another AEW star has turned down being the locker room leader
Another star who has found himself in the middle of the entire situation is Orange Cassidy. He has feuded with Jon Moxley and the rest of the Blackpool Combat Club on multiple occasions but for this feud, he does not seem very confident in his abilities.
Earlier tonight on Collision, the 40-year-old star spoke to Daniel Garcia and the Private Party. The trio urged him to step up as they needed all the help they could get. Cassidy turned them down, as he claimed that he was not a leader and he did not have what it takes. This leaves the AEW locker room without someone to lead them in this fight.
Adam Copeland has worked with Darby Allin in the past
From the moment he stepped foot in AEW, Adam Copeland has been on Darby Allin's side. The Rated-R Superstar came to the aid of Allin and Sting during his AEW debut at the WrestleDream 2023 Pay-Per-View. The three have an unspoken bond.
Seeing what happened at AEW WrestleDream 2024, Copeland could make his return soon to come to the aid of the company he loves, as he could be a major player in this warfare with the Blackpool Combat Club.
Having names such as Adam Copeland, Darby Allin, Daniel Garcia, Private Party, and possibly Orange Cassidy in this war against the Blackpool Combat Club may just be enough.
However, with Jon Moxley and his group looking unstoppable, it remains to be seen whether they can be taken down.
