AEW Fight Forever's release date officially announced

AEW Fight Forever is one of the most anticipated video games in recent memory, with many fans wondering when they would finally get their hands on the title. Now they can, as the game has an official release date.

The All Elite Wrestling video game has been in the works for some time, with Fight Forever officially being announced in November 2020. However, the title has been pushed back numerous times due to several obstacles. The cover art for the game was initially featured on AEW programming in the summer of 2022.

Kenny Omega recently took to the AEW Games Twitter account to deliver the message gamers worldwide wanted to hear: AEW Fight Forever will be released on June 29, 2023.

AEW Fight Forever's director has worked on some of the most beloved wrestling games of all time

All Elite Wrestling's first video game has been seen by many as the classic case of wanting to do something right rather than do something quickly. Hence the delayed release date. But when your game is directed by one of the brains behind some of wrestling's most beloved titles, taking your time might be the best thing.

AEW Fight Forever's director, Hideyuki "Geta" Iwashita, has previously directed WWF No Mercy and WCW/nWo Revenge. The games released on Nintendo 64 are still seen as two of the greatest wrestling video game titles ever.

To add more prestige to Fight Forever's development, Yuke's has been developing wrestling video games since the mid-1990s. The Japanese company developed WWE's video games for nearly 20 years.

Yuke's was at one point the majority owner of New Japan Pro-Wrestling, owning 54% of the company between 2005 and 2012, with the developer's first game being an NJPW title back in 1995.
