Welcome to the latest edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's AEW News & Rumor Roundup. Today we will take a look at an ex 40-year-old All Elite star who has no desire to return to the company. Furthermore, a former WWE Intercontinental Champion unexpectedly showed up after Dynamite went off-air.

In addition, a top talent confirmed he's open to joining The Hurt Syndicate. So without ado, let's begin.

#3. Ryan Nemeth does not want to return to AEW

Just when fans thought the CM Punk-AEW feud couldn't get any more complicated, former All Elite star Ryan Nemeth dropped a bombshell. According to the 40-year-old, The Best in the World had been mistreating him and the promotion did not do anything about it.

Ryan Nemeth reportedly complained about Punk to numerous AEW executives. However, nobody helped him. His contract with the company expired earlier this year. Reports suggest that he spoke to Tony Khan and others in the promotion months ago. Interestingly, Khan was invested in the idea of Nemeth making an All Elite Wrestling return but the latter was not keen on it.

#2. Ricochet is interested in joining The Hurt Syndicate

The Hurt Syndicate is actively trying to increase its dominance in the AEW locker room by recruiting new members. They previously approached Ricochet to join the faction.

Interestingly, in a recent conversation with Barstool Rasslin, the 36-year-old seemed to confirm that he is open to the idea of joining The Hurt Syndicate. He explained his history with the faction and how the idea of hurting people has a nice ring to it.

"That’s like a delicate situation because of our past, and literally, they terrorized me throughout the entire pandemic. Yeah, so as much as I feel like they do want what’s best for me, I feel like they want what’s best for me by force. Yeah, and so, but it’s… well, they really want what’s best for them. They want what’s best for them. Isn’t that everybody? It is. It really is. And at the end of the day, you can’t blame them for that, but I do. I think there are some things I could learn from the Hurt Syndicate, but man, it’s maybe how to hurt people. Really, yeah, I’m usually the one getting hurt. So, I bet hurting—doing the hurting—is awesome.” [H/T: Ringside News]

Matt Cardona shockingly showed up after this week's Dynamite episode went off the air. He reportedly challenged the reigning ROH World Champion Chris Jericho for the title at Final Battle 2024.

Cardona is best known for his time in the WWE where he wrestled as Zack Ryder. In the Stamford-based company, he held the WWE Intercontinental Championship and the WWE United States Championship. He has also made a few appearances in All Elite Wrestling. The last time he wrestled for the company was on AEW Collision against Adam Copeland (FKA Edge).
