The backstage environment at AEW has reportedly turned sour after the return of Toni Storm. Meanwhile, an AEW megastar is in contention to win an Emmy.

#1. Tony Khan hesitated to promote Ricky Starks following a recent controversy

Tony Khan has landed himself into even further controversy with Ricky Starks. The former FTW Champion has been absent from programming since the March 30th episode of Collision.

Starks has voiced his confusion about being kept off of TV despite being healthy. He was planned to appear at GCW but was pulled from its bookings following controversial statements made by Effy about Tony Khan and his father.

The AEW President recently spent some time with fans and a fan asked him to sign a "We Want Ricky Starks" poster. Following the recent controversies between him and Starks, a video from a fan seemingly captured him looking unhappy while signing it.


#2. Toni Storm's AEW return plans reportedly stir controversial backstage environment.

Toni Storm's recent return to AEW has reportedly brought issues backstage due to her return plans.

The former AEW Women's World Champion made a sensational return to the company after three months. Many fans along with Mariah May were caught off guard by her return and her new look seems to suggest that the "Timeless" gimmick is over.

According to Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer's Radio, many people backstage were stunned that she showed up on Rampage, which is about to be shut down.

"Do you know how many people I talked to in AEW yesterday, and every last single one of them… 'aghast' may not even be the right word… 'appalled' that Toni Storm's return is on Rampage," he said. (H/T WrestleTalk)

#3. Hangman Adam Page took a shot at Logan Paul after the latter announced his retirement.

Hangman Adam Page took his chance to take a fiery shot aimed at Logan Paul after the latter announced his retirement. Paul had stated on his Impaulsive podcast that he has now retired after becoming a father.

Hangman Page seemingly took notice of his announcement and took to the new social media platform, BlueSky to mock the former US Champion. The former AEW Champion taunted WWE and Logan Paul for taking half of his move set.

"i hope the next person they give half my moveset to is at least kinda cool," wrote Hangman Page.

Many fans have noticed the similarities between both star's moves, particularly their signature "Buckshot Lariat." The post from Hangman Page has since been deleted.


#4. Adam Copeland marks new milestone following Emmy Award nomination

Adam Copeland has marked another milestone in his already prestigious career after getting nominated for an Emmy Award.

The 11-time World Champion has accomplished a lot in his illustrious career in professional wrestling. He has also branched out into acting as well with his most recent acting stint coming in as Ares in the Disney+ show, Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

The former TNT Champion is nominated for the Best Supporting Performer category in the Children and Family segment. Fans will be eager to tune in and see if he takes home an Emmy Award for his stellar work in the series.
