On today's edition of AEW News and Rumor Roundup, we'll explore some of the hot topics of December 12, 2024.
We'll update you on an unfortunate news about Bryan Danielson, an ex-WWE Champion's retirement plans, Britt baker getting snubbed by an All Elite star and much more.
#1 Bryan Danielson will not participate at AEW All In Texas 2025
AEW will hold its 2025 edition of All In in Texas next year and sadly the fans won't get to see The American Dragon in action.
Speaking to media outlets at an All In Texas ticket sales event, Bryan mentioned that he's unsure if he'll ever return to the ring.
Therefore, he will not participate in next year's All In show in Texas. However, he stated that he will be present at the event.
"As for my participation at All In this year, I don't know what that looks like. I don't know if I'll be able to wrestle at that point. I don't know if I'll be able to wrestle again, quite honestly. But there's one thing I can tell you for certain, I will be here. There's nothing you can do to make me miss All In at Globe Life Field," said Danielson.
The last time fans saw him in the Jacksonville-based promtion was at WrestleDream 2024 where he lost the AEW World Championship to Jon Moxley, after which Mox and his allies brutally attacked him and sent him home on a stretcher.
#2 Bobby Lashley wants to retire in AEW
Bobby Lashley made his AEW debut on the October 30 edition of Fright Night Dynamite. He had his first match against Swerve Strickland at Full Gear where he dominated the former World Champion.
He recently spoke to Denise Salcedo at AEW All In Texas Countdown and stated that he wanted to retire in the Jacksonville-based promtion.
“I want to go out with a bang. Everybody says that they want to end their career in a certain way, and that’s what I want to do, I want to end my career here in AEW."
But before he retires he wants to take The Hurt Synicate to the top in Tony Khan's company and also help put over younger talents in the promotion and guide them onto the path of success.
#3 Serena Deeb snubs Britt Baker
Britt Baker and Serena Deeb have been feuding with each other for a while. Deeb confronted Baker a month ago, after The Doctor insulted The Professor by stating that "nobody cares" about her. Deeb may have taken the insult to heart, which is why she recently snubbed the former Women's Champion on Instagram.
She shared a fantasy booking list of women she thinks should be a part of a hypothetical Women's Continental Classic if the tournament happened n the Jacksonville-based promotion. Many top female stars were on the list but not Baker.
#4 AEW is happy with Komander's recent run
Komander, who joined the company last year, has been on a losing streak for a while. He has lost all his matches in the past few weeks, including both of his Continental Classic bouts against Ricochet and Darby Allin.
However, Fightful Select revealed that the Jacksonville-based promotion has been impressed with his performances lately, especially in the Continental Classic matches.
#5 Another AEW star removed from GCW event
Tony Khan pulling Ricky Starks from GCW events due to Effy's controversial comments about Shad Khan has been a popular topic of discussion in wrestling.
Earlier today, Fightful Select reported that Willie Mack has also been pulled from a GCW event scheduled to take place next weekend. It was noted that there has been conflicting reports regarding the matter.
It was reported that Khan barred Mack from performing in the indie promotion. But sources in the Jacksonville-based promotion claimed that the company had no hand in the cancellation of Mack's GCW appeance.
