Bobby Lashley to debut; major split? - 5 twists Tony Khan could pull off on AEW Fright Night Dynamite
Tony Khan has certainly planned a Dynamite worth remembering this week. The show is titled AEW Fright Night Dynamite to celebrate the festival of Halloween. In addition, several matches and segments have been announced so far.
They are are follows:
- World Tag Team Championship match: The Young Bucks vs. Private Party (If Private Party loses, they will split)
- Kamille vs. Kris Statlander
- Swerve Strickland vs. Shelton Benjamin
- Adam Cole vs. Buddy Matthews
- Orange Cassidy will make an appearance
- Hangman Page will speak
In the past few weeks, Dynamite has seen the evolution of several storylines. While the Blackpool Combat Club intends to make Orange Cassidy's life more miserable, MVP and Shelton Benjamin are doing everything for the former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland to become a member of The Hurt Syndicate.
Here are five major twists Tony Khan can pull off on AEW Fright Night Dynamite.
#5. Darby Allin could save Orange Cassidy from the BCC
Jon Moxley and Co. are ruthlessly attacking the AEW stars they believe have not fulfilled their potential in the company so far. Ever since The One True King won the AEW World Championship at WrestleDream, they have made Freshly Squeezed's life a living hell.
First, they attacked him and his faction and then injured his good friend Chuck Taylor. They will probably come for him again on Fright Night Dynamite. However, the 'The Invisible Man' Darby Allin might show up and save him from a catastrophe.
#4. Private Party might split
Additionally, The Elite's Young Bucks will defend the AEW Tag Tag Team Championship against Private Party on Dynamite.
Even though it would be wonderful to see the latter win these titles for the first time in their careers, Tony Khan might shockingly make them lose, resulting in this group splitting.
#3. MJF might interfere in Adam Cole's match
MJF is currently in a rivalry with Adam Cole. The latter recently returned to AEW after several months because he was sidelined due to an injury. The former NXT Champion wants to face Friedman at Full Gear. However, MJF wants to play games with him. Along with Cole, Roderick Strong, too, wants to lock horns with the former AEW World Champion. Hence, MJF has informed them that he will face the one who registers three singles wins leading up to the upcoming pay-per-view.
There is a good chance MJF might interfere in Adam Cole's match against Buddy Matthews at Fright Night Dynamite. He simply does not want to face the leader of the Undisputed Kingdom at Full Gear and will do everything to keep him at bay. He will probably interfere in Cole's match and try to make him lose.
#2. & #1 Shelton Benjamin could shockingly defeat Strickland and Bobby Lashley might make his AEW debut on Dynamite
Shelton Benjamin is having a good run in AEW so far. His first match in the promotion was against Lio Rush, which he won convincingly. Last week, he defeated former AEW TNT Sammy Guevara impressively. He and MVP are trying to recruit Swerve Strickland into The Hurt Syndicate. However, the former AEW World Champion is loyal to his manager, Prince Nana. Tony Khan will probably keep booking Benjamin strongly, and give him the victory over Strickland on Fright Night Dynamite.
Interestingly, right after this match ends, former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley could make his anticipated AEW debut. He can show up and brutalize Strickland, just to send him a message: join The Hurt Business or get ready for relentless beatdowns in the coming weeks.
