Brock Lesnar to debut in AEW and form a dangerous alliance with 9-time WWE champion? Exploring shocking twist
A nine-time WWE champion recently revealed that he wanted to team up with Brock Lesnar in WWE. However, the idea never came to fruition in the Stamford-based promotion. But could it finally happen in AEW?
Former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar are ex-rivals and had an interesting beef in WWE. However, their rivalry sort of ended abruptly, which left quite a few fans disgruntled.
Speaking in an interview with Chris Van Vliet on his Insight podcast, the two-time WWE Champion, two-time ECW Champion, two-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, and three-time WWE US Champion admitted he wanted to do more with his feud with The Conqueror. He also wanted to team up with Lesnar for a tag team run, which would have been very dominant in WWE.
"Because they always said some of the best feuds are the people that were together first, and something brought us apart. Could have been, I don’t know if we could have put us two together as a tag team, because it might have been too dominant, but I still see there were some people in there that we could have had great fights with and great matches with if we needed to," he said.
The chances of Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar teaming up in AEW aren't high, especially with The Beast Incarnate seemingly alluded to in the Janel Grant lawsuit. But it might still be a little likely to happen once The Beast returns to the ring. He could then debut in AEW to ally with his former WWE rival.
WWE veteran believes only Brock Lesnar could save Big E
Big E has been out of action since March 2022 but recently returned to WWE on The New Day's 10th anniversary, when Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods turned their backs on him.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's Legion of Raw, WWE veteran Vince Russo stated that WWE made a big mistake with the angle because Big E couldn't turn heel to take revenge on his former stablemates since he was not cleared for in-ring action. However, the storyline could still be saved if the 38-year-old star returns with Brock Lesnar by his side.
"He can't wrestle. He can't go out and find a partner. If he can go out and find a partner, if he brings Brock Lesnar in as his partner, then okay! But the dude can't wrestle."
The last time fans saw Brock Lesnar was at SummerSlam 2023, where he suffered a loss against Cody Rhodes.
