Bryan Danielson to return for one final match against former WWE Champion in 2025? Exploring the chances

Former WWE Champion Bryan Danielson recently retired from full-time in-ring competition in AEW. However, the veteran might make a huge comeback to face former WWE and current ROH World Champion Chris Jericho.

The American Dragon was pretty vocal about ending his full-time career in the past year. Bryan Danielson's final year as a full-time wrestler saw him competing in some of the most physical battles. At AEW All In 2024, the former WWE Champion defeated Swerve Strickland to become AEW World Champion. However, the title was taken away by his former best friend Jon Moxley two months later at the WrestleDream PPV.

Many are wondering whether Bryan Danielson will return to the ring again, and current ROH World Champion Chris Jericho made some interesting comments. The veteran spoke about the direction of the Ring of Honor brand where he seemingly teased Bryan Danielson potentially returning to face him at ROH. The American Dragon is a legend in Ring of Honor and a surprising return to the ring against Chris Jericho could be the right move and give Bryan some distance from the AEW product.

Former WWE Champion Bryan Danielson recently provided an update on his future

Bryan Danielson retired from full-time competition at AEW WrestleDream after losing his World Title to Jon Moxley. The American Dragon recently cleared the air regarding his future in the squared circle.

During the AEW All In 2025 ticket sales event, the former WWE Champion revealed that he was unsure if he'd ever wrestle again. However, he said that at All In 2025, he would be at Globe Life Field.

"As for my participation at All In this year, I don't know what that looks like. I don't know if I'll be able to wrestle at that point. I don't know if I'll be able to wrestle again, quite honestly. But there's one thing I can tell you for certain, I will be here. There's nothing you can do to make me miss All In at Globe Life Field," said Danielson.

We will have to wait and see if Bryan Danielson returns to in-ring action in All Elite Wrestling next year.
