Christian Cage to recruit ex-AEW champion to his faction amid threat from Jon Moxley? Looking at the chances

Christian Cage could join forces with a top star to deal with the threat from the AEW World Champion, Jon Moxley. The aforementioned scenario seems likely after what happened at Full Gear.

At the Full Gear 2024 pay-per-view, Jon Moxley defeated Orange Cassidy to retain his AEW World title in the main event. Following the main event, chaos erupted as the ex-champion in question, Hangman Page, showed up to confront Moxley and Christian Cage took advantage and took out Mox with a Killswitch.

Christian was about to cash in his World Championship contract on Moxley before he was taken out by Jay White. After Cage's cash-in attempt on Moxley, he is likely to be on the radar of The Ace and The Death Riders going forward. Nevertheless, Christian could recruit Hangman Page to deal with The Death Riders.

While Christian Cage already has The Patriarchy with him, he will need a tougher hand like Hangman Page to deal with the potential threat of Moxley and The Death Riders.

At Full Gear, Hangman lost his rematch against Jay White as well and he might need a new creative direction after his consecutive losses, which could be a potential feud against the AEW World Champion, Moxley.

Jon Moxley made an appearance outside AEW after Full Gear

After retaining his AEW World Title in the main event of Full Gear, Jon Moxley and his group retreated from the arena as Darby Allin attempted to run them down. Following the pay-per-view, Moxley's stablemate, Marina Shafir made her return to GCW during Josh Barnett's Bloodsport XII

Surprisingly, Moxley also showed up during the event to accompany his partner, Shafir, to her match. Marina defeated Jody Threat in a match that went over seven minutes.

Moreover, Marina Shafir has yet to wrestle on AEW TV since her last match on an episode of Rampage in December 2023. Only time will tell what's next for Shafir in the storyline with The Death Riders.
