Could former AEW stars return to WWE as members of the Wyatt Sicks? Looking at the possibility
The Uncle Howdy-led Wyatt Sicks finally made their highly anticipated appearance on the most recent episode of Monday Night RAW. The supernatural group consists of Bo Dallas (Uncle Howdy), Nikki Cross, Dexter Lumis, Erick Rowan, and Joe Gacy. However, the addition of two former AEW stars could add another dimension to the stable.
The former AEW stars in question are The Hardy Boyz. Matt Hardy is currently working for TNA as a free agent. Meanwhile, Jeff Hardy recently entered free agency on June 14, 2024, after the reported expiration of his contract with Tony Khan's promotion. The Charismatic Enigma recently appeared at TNA's Against All Odds to save his brother, Matt, from an assault from The System. However, according to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, the legendary tag team has yet to sign a contract with TNA.
Therefore, the veteran tag team could be considering a potential return to WWE for a possible last run. Matt and Jeff could surprise fans by making an appearance after being introduced as members of the Wyatt Sicks faction. Interestingly, Matt Hardy took to his Twitter (X) to comment on Wyatt Sicks' debut, adding fuel to the rumors of him being in the faction.
Mattitude had a history with the late great Bray Wyatt during his second run in the WWE a few years ago. Hence, Matt and his brother, Jeff, could join the group to pay tribute to Bray.
Moreover, it could be a great beginning to the veteran tag team's last run in the Stamford-based promotion, which could lead to their well-deserved induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Wyatt Sicks laid waste to multiple WWE stars on RAW
The Uncle Howdy-led Wyatt Sicks made an instant impact during their maiden appearance on the flagship show. The supernatural faction took out several stars to send shivers down the spines of fans.
The stars who faced the wrath of Wyatt Sicks included Alpha Academy leader Chad Gable and former WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman. While Gable was visibly a bloody mess, The Monster Among Men was also spotted among a pile of bodies. The faction also seemed to have taken out record-breaking former Intercontinental Champion Gunther. However, we will have to wait for conclusive evidence to testify.
It will be interesting to see how the creative team books the faction in the coming weeks.
