Current AEW champion to be forced to vacate his title on Dynamite this week? Next potential move explored
AEW All Out was a great show. It had great matches and great storylines too. The event also had a lot of twists and turns and one of them came in the form of the Blackpool Combat Club turning on, and attacking Bryan Danielson.
The AEW World Champion was blindsided by his former friends after he successfully defeated Jack Perry to retain the title. Claudio Castagnoli landed the first blow and then Jon Moxley added the finishing touches in what were shocking scenes at the NOW Arena.
Wheeler Yuta was the only member who was apparently not informed about attacking Danielson and he was visibly shaken and was being restrained by his fellow AEW Trios Champion, PAC. His position within the faction and as a Trios Champion will now be in question.
If he decides to part ways with the group on Dynamite, then that would mean he will have to vacate his title and potentially hand it to someone else. It will be interesting to see what is next for Wheeler Yuta.
AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson heaps praise on Wheeler Yuta
Bryan Danielson and Wheeler Yuta share a very close bond and that was made clear at All Out when the latter was broken after seeing the attack on his mentor.
A few weeks before All Out, The American Dragon had heaped praise on Yuta and called him an incredible human being. He was speaking with Bleacher Report when he said:
"Wheeler has so much upside. He's an incredible human being and that's the part I really look at with people. If you were to look at me when I was 27, I had a lot of holes in my game. I think Wheeler, from an in-ring standpoint and from a promo standpoint, he's getting better all the time. He did a match with Rocky Romero on Rampage that was just fantastic. I just think he's doing a great job."
With what transpired at AEW All Out, it should not come as a surprise if fans see Yuta team up with Danielson to take on Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and PAC.
