Death Riders' next victim; former WWE star loses again? - 4 surprises Tony Khan could pull off on the AEW Dynamite after Full Gear 2024

The 2024 AEW Full Gear event had a chaotic end. Although Jon Moxley retained the AEW World Championship against Orange Cassidy, Tony Khan gave us a glimpse of future contenders eyeing to strip the belt off Mox's shoulders.

The aftermath of the Full Gear event will be intriguing to watch. New storylines will emerge while existing ones will take unexpected twists. Here are four surprises we think Khan might have planned for the Full Gear fallout edition of Dynamite this week which will air live from Wintrust Arena in Chicago.

#1 The Death Riders may attack Darby Allin

The ending segment of Full Gear saw Jon Moxley and his Death Riders escape the arena after Christian Cage, Jay White and others tried to ambush them. But before they could mount their truck, Darby Allin slammed a car into their vehicle, forcing them to retreat in a stolen vehicle.

Darby Allin is slated to face House of Black's Brody King in a Continental Classics Gold League tournament match on Dynamite this week. The One True King and his allies could interrupt his match and retaliate against the face-painted star for demolishing their truck.

#2 Ricochet could lose against Claudio Castagnoli

A few hours ago, AEW announced that Ricochet is set to take on AEW World Trios Champion Claudio Castagnoli in a singles match in the Gold League of Continental Classic 2024. The two stars have squared off against each other in WWE and independent circuits before but never locked horns inside an AEW ring.

Ricochet couldn't capture the AEW Continental Championship as Konosuke Takeshita beat him in a 1-on-1 match at Full Gear. He could lose again in his upcoming match against The Swiss wrestler, taking him out of the title picture, and allowing him to start a new and interesting storyline.

#3 Kamille might betray Mercedes Mone

Kamille has been with Mercedes Mone since her debut in July this year. She has helped The CEO tackle many obstacles in the past but lately, the two haven't been on the same page.

Over the past few weeks, the former Sasha Banks has become incredibly frustrated with Kamille. This only grew worse when Kris Statlander handed her henchwoman a big blow on the October 30 edition of Fright Night Dynamite.

Moreover, she put down The Brickhouse at Full Gear by not allowing her ringside during the match. Kamille could finally get fed up with Mone and take a stand for herself at Dynamite this week, thereby turning her back on her in the process.

#4 Toni Storm could return

The crowd at the Prudential Center on Saturday witnessed a shocking betrayal featuring Mariah May and Mina Shirakawa. The two long-time friends had a heartbreaking split at the event.

The duo held a Champagne Championship Celebration for the former at the event. During the segment, The Glamour tried to attack her best friend with a champagne bottle but the Japanese star managed to dodge the attack and retaliate.

Earlier this year, Mariah May betrayed Toni Storm after winning the Owen Hart Cup tournament. Following the chain of events at Full Gear, Storm might return on Dynamite and join hands with Mina Shirakawa to exact revenge on the AEW Women's Champion.
