Dolph Ziggler to make AEW debut as a heel at Worlds End 2023 and attack former WWE Champion? Exploring the possibility
Dolph Ziggler has been a notable name to be tied up with AEW following his release from WWE. Could he make his debut with the promotion at Worlds End to go after a certain former WWE Champion? The man in question would be Jon Moxley.
In 2018, The Showoff had Drew McIntyre by his side when they were feuding with Seth Rollins. This led to Rollins bringing a helping hand to his side in the form of the Lunatic Fringe. The feud peaked when Braun Strowman joined Ziggler and McIntyre, and Roman Reigns completed the reunion of Shield.
Right now, Jon Moxley is a member of the Blackpool Combat Club, and he is currently in a feud with Orange Cassidy and The Best Friends. Despite his loss at Full Gear, many aren't sure if Mox and the BCC are done with OC and his friends. Wheeler Yuta surely is not done with Hook, which may lead to a much bigger match.
This could reach a six-man tag match with Mox, Yuta, and Claudio Castagnoli taking on Cassidy, Hook, and a third member, who could be Trent Beretta. This match may take place at Worlds End, and following the conclusion of the match, Dolph Ziggler could strike Mox. This would be a heel debut for the Showoff and a great introduction to All Elite Wrestling.
Dolph Ziggler's first wrestling appearance since WWE release revealed
Following his release on September 21, 2023, Dolph Ziggler has to honor the non-compete clause of his WWE contract. This would last for 90 days. He would be eligible to compete elsewhere by December 20.
It was revealed that the former WWE Superstar would be appearing on the WWC (World Wrestling Council) in Puerto Rico. No date has been indicated on the poster, but it would be safe to assume that this would be after his 90th day of not competing in a wrestling ring:
"Heβs here to show the world. ΒΏπ π¨π π‘π€ π©π§πππ’π€π¨ π₯π' Puerto Rico? Wanna play? Letβs play. El reloj comienza a correr ahora," the post reads.
With the speculation that Dolph Ziggler would be going to AEW being stronger than ever, his appearance at Worlds End is definitely on the table. The event will be held on December 30, 10 days after the end of his non-compete clause.
