Ex-WWE star to join as new member, Big confrontation? - 4 things that could happen with The Hurt Syndicate on AEW Dynamite

The Hurt Syndicate is back in business. For the time being, the AEW stable consists of MVP, Shelton Benjamin, and Bobby Lashley. However, fans are speculating that more members will be added to the group soon.

The Hurt Syndicate is one of the most popular factions in modern-day pro wrestling. In WWE, it was known as The Hurt Business. During its peak, many members of the stable held championship gold. Interestingly, Bobby Lashley profited the most from this alliance because he won the WWE Championship twice and the WWE United States Championship once as part of the group.

On last week's Dynamite, Lashley made his All Elite Wrestling debut. He, MVP, and Benjamin brutally attacked former AEW World Champion Swerve Stickland and his manager Prince Nana. In the process, the faction put the entire locker room on notice. Tony Khan will likely book the group to secure championships at some point.

The Hurt Syndicate's dominance in the Tony Khan-led company might begin this week. Let's take a look at four things that could happen with The Hurt Syndicate on AEW Dynamite.

#4 & #3 The Hurt Syndicate recruits Lio Rush; MVP reapproaches Mercedes Mone

Lio Rush is an ideal candidate to join The Hurt Syndicate. He had a stint in WWE and is an immensely talented in-ring competitor. During his time in the Stamford-based company, he had a shortlived alliance with The All Mighty. On this week's Dynamite, he could become a new member of Lashley's faction.

The former Hurt Business never had a female member. However, a few weeks ago, MVP gave TBS Champion Mercedes Mone his business card. He asked Mone to contact him if she wanted his service, but there has not been an update on this story yet.

On Dynamite, the former United States Champion might reapproach The CEO and ask her to join the faction.

#2 Shelton Benjamin could challenge for a title

Shelton Benjamin is a three-time WWE Intercontinental Champion and a former WWE United States Champion. He is an outstanding athlete, and it makes perfect sense for Tony Khan to book him strongly and give him a title run in AEW.

Benjamin could challenge for a title on this week's Dynamite. It could be the TNT, International, or Continental Championship. Although the chances of him becoming a champion so early are slim, he and his opponent will certainly deliver a stellar match.

#1 Confrontation with Jon Moxley and his faction

Jon Moxley and Co. are currently in a rivalry with Orange Cassidy. They are the most feared stable in the company. However, The Hurt Syndicate would certainly love to take this title from them.

Moxley is the reigning AEW World Champion. Furthermore, Blackpool Combat Club members Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli, and PAC are the AEW World Trios Champions. Long-time wrestling fans are aware of how eager Lashley's group is to hold gold. Hence, a confrontation between the two stables is inevitable. This could happen on the upcoming edition of Dynamite.
