Ex-WWE stars, not Jon Moxley's faction, to potentially align with Shane McMahon in AEW? Looking at the chances
Fans and veterans have been talking about Shane McMahon's possible arrival in AEW for months. After his picture with Tony Khan went viral on social media, many fans claimed that he would eventually appear on the show.
At All Out, Jon Moxley revealed his new faction which now consists of Marina Shafir, Claudio Castagnoli, and PAC. They attacked Bryan Danielson and suffocated him with a plastic bag. The stable has been claiming that AEW is their company for some time now. Many believe they are teasing the potential arrival of Shane O'Mac.
However, there is a huge possibility that McMahon wouldn't align with Moxley's faction. Instead, he may introduce himself as a part of Hurt Syndicate, which would potentially include Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP. 'The Hurt Syndicate' was reportedly trademarked last month and the company that filed it has been closely associated with MVP in the past.
Also, reports claim that the three stars have held talks with AEW. The trio could debut under the management of Shane as they all have been released by WWE in recent months. Meanwhile, Jon Moxley's faction has already established stars and may not need a big name to give them a boost.
Bully Ray believes Shane McMahon could be part of Jon Moxley's faction
Jon Moxley has been hinting at taking over AEW over the past few weeks. Many believe the faction will have a fifth member who could appear shortly.
While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray claimed that Shane McMahon could be associated with all the recent teases AEW has been doing. He wondered about the new faction's members and asked if there was yet a member to be revealed and if it could be Shane.
"'AEW is broken,' What did PAC mean? I know it's a part of the storyline, but is it art imitating real life? Are we taking some of the perceptions out there about AEW and bringing them into the ring? And if AEW is broken, how are Moxley, PAC, Claudio, and Marina Shafir going to fix it? Are they the only four? Are there more? The chatter about a month ago was that this group was somehow gonna be associated with and affiliated with Shane McMahon," he said.
It will be interesting to see if and when Shane McMahon will debut in AEW.
