Former AEW champion to align with Bryan Danielson against Jon Moxley's new faction? Looking at the chances
A former champion in AEW could assist the All Elite World Champion, Bryan Danielson in his ongoing feud with Jon Moxley's new faction. Danielson was shockingly betrayed at the All Out 2024 pay-per-view.
The star in question is the former TNT Champion, Darby Allin. In a shocking turn of events at the All Out pay-per-view, Claudio Castagnoli and Jon Moxley of the Blackpool Combat Club turned on Bryan Danielson after Bryan retained the AEW World Title. Furthermore, Claudio and PAC joined Mox's new faction along with Marina Shafir.
With both Danielson and Wheeler Yuta getting betrayed by their BCC buddies, they need some help to even the odds against Moxley's new faction. A star who could align with The American Dragon in his feud with Mox could be none other than Darby Allin. A few weeks ago, Mox made his return and called out Darby.
The following week on Dynamite, Moxley yet again called out Darby saying he just wanted to talk. However, Darby Allin has yet to respond to Mox after multiple callouts. Therefore, Darby could join forces with Danielson as they both now have a common enemy.
Interestingly, Darby Allin is slated to challenge Bryan Danielson for the AEW World Championship at the upcoming Grand Slam 2024. It would be interesting to see how the story pans out.
AEW issued a statement on Jon Moxley's heinous actions on Bryan Danielson
After shocking turning on Bryan Danielson at the All Out pay-per-view, Jon Moxley also choked Bryan out with a plastic bag which seemed sadistic. Danielson got medical attention afterward as well. Nonetheless, AEW had to issue the following official statement due to the graphic nature of the moment:
"Due to the graphic nature of the attack on Bryan Danielson, we will not be sharing the footage. AEW does not condone such actions," the statement read.
Henceforth, only time will tell how the story between Moxley and Danielson goes forward after the massive betrayal and how others get involved.
