Former WWE Champion debuts, Unexpected winner - 5 Surprises for the Casino Gauntlet match at AEW All In
One of AEW's most anticipated Pay-Per-Views All In is scheduled to occur later this month. The company has been building up to the show for a few weeks and it's safe to say that the match card is looking promising so far. All In will take place at Wembley Stadium in London, England. Last year, more than 70,000 people attended the PPV, and it is speculated that this number will be exceeded this year.
All Elite Wrestling recently announced that All In will feature a stunning Casino Gauntlet Match, whose winner will receive an opportunity to capture the AEW World Championship in the future. According to Excalibur, this showdown will feature some of the biggest names in the company. None of them have been announced so far, but fans expect the promotion to give them an experience for the ages.
The Casino Gauntlet Match might have some unexpected moments. Here are five surprises that Tony Khan could pull off.
#5. Jinder Mahal could make his AEW debut with The Bollywood Boyz alongside him
Jinder Mahal had a magnificent run in the WWE as he held the WWE Championship, the WWE United States Championship, and the WWE 24/7 Championship. Furthermore, The Bollywood Boyz played an important role in his dominating WWE Title run.
The Bollywood Boyz have already had several matches in the Jacksonville-based promotion. Mahal recently parted ways with the WWE and appeared in GCW, under the name Raj Dhesi. Interestingly, he could be a participant in the upcoming Casino Gauntlet Match at All In.
#4. Possibility of a female participant
Women entering WWE Royal Rumble Matches is not unheard of. In the past, the WWE Universe has seen names such as Chyna, Kharma, Beth Phoenix, and Nia Jax enter these matches. Even though a Royal Rumble and a Gauntlet Match have different sets of rules, AEW could send one or multiple female wrestlers to compete against men.
Hence, don't be shocked if names such as Nyla Rose, Athena, Willow Nightingale, or even Kamille show up during this bout.
#3. Keith Lee or Adam Cole's return
Adam Cole has not appeared on AEW programming, due to an injury, which had made him bound to a wheelchair. Thankfully, a recent WON report suggested that The Panama City Playboy is recovering well and has started walking again.
"Because of the complexity of Adam Cole's injury, there’s still a little time left out of action but he hopes it’s not much longer. Cole is able to walk now, so he's on the way back." [H/T: WON]
Meanwhile, Keith Lee has also been out of action because he underwent surgery earlier this year. The exact return date or timeline of both stars is unknown, however, there are chances that we might see one of them compete in the All In Casino Gauntlet Match.
#2. Ricochet makes is All Elite debut
Ever since Ricochet's contract with WWE came to an end, there have been strong rumors that he is AEW-bound. The 35-year-old performed in the Stamford-based company for six years where he won the WWE Intercontinental Championship, WWE United States Championship, NXT North American Championship, and more. If he does sign for the Tony Khan-led company, fans believe that he will become an asset for them in no time.
The Casino Gauntlet Match could be a great way of introducing him to the AEW. Furthermore, his high-flying moves could take this showdown to the next level.
#1. Unexpected winner: Daniel Garcia or Ricky Starks
The winner of the Casino Gauntlet can be somebody completely unexpected, like Daniel Garcia or Ricky Starks.
Garcia suffered an injury after MJF attacked him at Dynamite Beach Break. He hasn't been featured on AEW programming since then. Furthermore reports suggest that his contract will expire this year and there is no certainty that he will continue with the company. There are also speculations that Ricky Starks will leave the Jacksonville-based company for WWE.
Tony Khan could shock the fans by making either one of them enter the aforementioned match, and win it all.
