Former WWE Champion to make huge AEW debut and join The Learning Tree? Exploring the possibility
At this point in his AEW career, Chris Jericho can be called the King of factions. The WWE legend started his AEW run with The Inner Circle. Once that group disbanded, he formed The Jericho Appreciation Society. After his run with The JAS came to an end, Jericho reinvented himself again and formed The Learning Tree alongside Big Bill and Bryan Keith.
Given that The Learning Tree is a relatively new group, they always seem interested in hiring new members. Jericho tried to get Hook to join but this resulted in a personal rivalry between the two men. However, there is one former WWE Champion who could benefit from sitting under The Learning Tree of Jericho and his name is Jinder Mahal (aka Raj Dhesi).
Jinder Mahal reached the pinnacle of his WWE career by doing the unthinkable and becoming a World Champion. This was especially shocking given that he was a jobber not too long ago in the same company. However, since then, Mahal has had a huge drop off in his star power. He even competed for the World Heavyweight Championship earlier this year but it was a match not many fans cared about or wanted to see.
Given the fact that Jericho has worked wonders for the likes of Sammy Guevara, Daniel Garcia, and even his current stablemates, Mahal could be the biggest benefactor by aligning himself with Jericho. These two men even reunited recently as Mahal was a guest on the Talk is Jericho podcast. Hence, it wouldn't be too far-fetched to imagine that Jericho is already cooking up a devious plan in his head about bringing Jinder Mahal into his group.
Jinder Mahal recently opened up about his WWE release
Jinder Mahal has had a turbulent WWE career, to say the least. He went from being a jobber to WWE Champion to barely getting any television time. Hence, WWE decided to cut him from the roster earlier this year.
Following his release, Jinder Mahal did an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda's Senior Editor Bill Apter where he seemed optimistic about the future and even teased a return to the Stamford-based promotion.
"It's business at the end of the day. Business evolves, things change, shakeups happen, management changes, talent changes, but that's what makes a business interesting right? Like that's what makes wrestling interesting. I got released before, I came back, maybe I will come back again. Who knows right? So all good, it's business at the end of the day. Business goes on, at the end of the day I am still a professional wrestler and that's the only thing that matters."

Jinder Mahal joining forces with Chris Jericho could be the best thing to happen to him in recent years. However, it's only speculation at the moment and the fans will have to wait and see if this comes to fruition.
