Former WWE star to debut in AEW and align with Ricochet ahead of Full Gear? Exploring the possibility
A former WWE star could make his AEW debut and join forces with Ricochet before the upcoming Full Gear pay-per-view. The star recently teased aligning with The One and Only.
Last week on AEW Dynamite, Ricochet teamed up with Powerhouse Hobbs to take down the Don Callis Family. Mark Davis and Will Ospreay helped the babyfaces tackle the heel faction. However, the former Speed Champion and his allies still need a big guy to deal with the monsters of the Don Callis-led stable. Hence, Dijak could align himself with The Human Highlight Reel's group.
Since departing from WWE earlier this year, Dijak has been rumored to make his AEW debut. The 37-year-old star has been quite active on the independent scene amid his free agency. He recently offered to be Ricochet's partner when the latter was looking for a teammate for his match against the Don Callis Family on Dynamite last week.
The Future of Flight and Will Ospreay are currently feuding with the Don Callis Family. While they have Powerhouse Hobbs on their side, they still need help in taking down stars like Brian Cage and Lance Archer. Dijak could finally make his All Elite Wrestling debut as part of the program and join the babyface team for a potential match at Full Gear 2024.
Ricochet discussed his decision to sign with AEW
After his WWE exit, Ricochet made his blockbuster AEW debut at the 2024 All In pay-per-view. Since his arrival, he has shared the ring with prominent talents like Konosuke Takeshita, Will Ospreay, and Kyle Fletcher.
In an interview with Chris Van Vliet, the former Speed Champion said All Elite Wrestling reignited his passion for pro wrestling.
"I felt like that fire that was burning inside of me was still there, but it was just like little embers that needed that gasoline on it to really make it ignite. At the time, I felt like AEW could be the gasoline for my fire. Since being there, I feel like I made the right choice."
Only time will tell what Tony Khan has in store for The Future of Flight heading into the Full Gear pay-per-view.
