Former WWE star to face Mercedes Mone at AEW All In instead of Britt Baker? Looking at the chances
A former WWE Superstar could replace Britt Baker and face Mercedes Mone at All In. The star being discussed is Saraya, formerly known as Paige.
The Norfolk Doll has been one of the best stars in the AEW's Women's division. At last year's All In, she participated in a four-way bout against Toni Storm, Hikaru Shida, and Britt Baker. She went on to win the bout and captured the AEW Women's World Championship in her home country. Despite her constant push to be a part of All In once again, she hasn't received an opponent yet.
Meanwhile, Mercedes Mone is set to defend her TBS Championship against Baker at the Wembley Stadium. However, things have taken a sudden twist in Britt's run as she is currently suspended due to a heated argument with MJF. The Salt of the Earth reportedly confronted Britt in the women's locker room at Dynamite 250.
Although Britt is still scheduled to wrestle on the card, she could be excluded from the bout if the matter becomes more dire. As of now, Saraya is still finding herself without an opponent for All In. If Britt isn't allowed to wrestle, she can be replaced by Saraya.
Britt Baker reveals she was nervous before her return match
On Blood and Guts: Dynamite, Britt Baker defeated Hikaru Shida in an athletic match. The star had just come back from a prolonged break due to her health issues.
While speaking with Ringside Collectibles, The D.M.D. revealed that AEW threw her in a trial by fire after putting her up against Hikaru in her first match after 10 months of absence. Baker, however, managed to clinch the Lockjaw for the submission victory at the end of the night.
“So wait, I didn’t just have a return match. They [AEW] threw me into the fire. They said, 'Here, your first match back, you’re gonna wrestle the longest-reigning women’s champion ever, [Hikaru] Shida!' So I was so nervous for that match," she said.
It will be interesting to see if Saraya might replace Britt at All In. Can the former repeat history at All In if The Norfolk Doll replaces The D.M.D.?
