Former WWE star to surprisingly debut in AEW as Bobby Lashley's manager? Exploring the possibility
A former WWE star could make her AEW debut as Bobby Lashley's manager in a shocking twist. The All Mighty is already rumored to join All Elite Wrestling sooner rather than later.
Bobby Lashley departed from the Stamford-based promotion earlier this year, and many speculated that he would sign with AEW. Later, it was reported that Lashley had inked a deal with All Elite Wrestling. Hence, The All Mighty could make his first appearance for the company alongside Samantha Irvin, who shockingly left the global juggernaut last week.
Samantha Irvin was RAW's ring announcer in WWE. Following her exit, fans believed she would join her fiance, Ricochet, in AEW. While Irvin was great at her job, she revealed that she wanted to play different roles in the Stamford-based organization. However, the Triple H-led management allegedly wanted her to stick to ring announcing.
Irvin wanted to be more than just a ring announcer in pro wrestling. Since she wishes to be a manager, AEW might be the perfect platform for her to showcase her skills. The 35-year-old could make her debut in the promotion as Bobby Lashley's ringside manager.
As Lashley's manager, Irvin could play a role in a potential feud between Ricochet and The All Mighty. The story could be similar to how Lana betrayed her ex-husband, Rusev, and joined Lashley in 2019.
AEW star believes Bobby Lashley's potential AEW debut would be "huge"
Recently debuted AEW star Shelton Benjamin wants to see Bobby Lashley join the Tony Khan-led promotion. For those unaware, The Gold Standard and Lashley were part of The Hurt Business in WWE.
On the Gabby AF podcast, Shelton said the following about the prospect of Lashely signing with All Elite Wrestling.
"If Bobby were to come… most people were fans of The Hurt Business; myself, MVP, Bobby, and Cedric [Alexander]," he said. "The prospect of Bobby coming to AEW, that’s huge, that’s a win for AEW. Aside from myself, you have one of the most phenomenal athletes you could ever get. A two-time WWE World Champion."
Only time will tell when Lashley will join Shelton Benjamin and MVP in AEW. Regardless, he is bound to make a huge impact upon his rumored arrival.
