Former WWE star to walk away from AEW following a massive setback? Exploring potential twist
Former AEW World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) is currently in a storyline with the Undisputed Kingdom members, Adam Cole and Roderick Strong. Both Cole and Strong want a match against The Salt of The Earth. However, MJF has made it clear that his opponent at the upcoming Full Gear pay-per-view will be the one who wins three singles matches in a row first.
Both Cole and Strong have won two matches so far. Their final matches are against Konosuke Takeshita and Lance Archer, respectively. It will not be easy for either of the former WWE stars because The Don Callis Family's members are a force to be reckoned with. However, we believe Cole will defeat the reigning AEW International Champion, while Strong will get beaten by Archer.
When this happens, Adam Cole and MJF will lock horns at Full Gear, and Strong might take a break to rethink his career in All Elite Wrestling. The former NXT North American Champion could later return with a new character, and perhaps as a heel.
The Messiah of The Backbreaker is an immensely talented wrestler, and Tony Khan could do wonders with him. He is a former AEW International Championship. That said, the above angle is speculative at this point.
Former WWE star Damon Kemp wishes he learned more from AEW's Roderick Strong
During his time in NXT, Roderick Strong once led the Diamond Mine faction. One of its members was the 25-year-old Damon Kemp. In a recent interview with Fightful, Kemp expressed his regret for not asking the former NXT North American Champion enough questions when they worked together.
"I think the one regret I have is not asking him [Strong] a lot more questions about his work and learning what wrestling was," Damon Kemp said. [H/T: Wrestle Zone]
The current members of Diamond Mine are Julius Creed, Brutus Creed, and Ivy Nile. Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see what Tony Khan has in store for Roderick Strong in the coming weeks.
