Former WWE Superstar to return as a babyface and cost MJF his title at AEW All In 2024? Exploring the chances
A former WWE Superstar could return as a babyface to interfere in MJF's bout at the 2024 All In pay-per-view. The star being discussed is Adam Cole.
In 2023, Adam Cole and Maxwell Jacob Friedman became best friends and enjoyed the spotlight together. They even wrestled in the main event of All In 2023, where the Wolf of Wrestling retained the AEW World Championship. Unfortunately, Cole was sidelined due to injuries shortly after. Despite being injured, he appeared as the Devil and secretly conspired against Friedman.
In December, Adam Cole revealed his identity as the Devil and turned on Maxwell. The latter was then sidelined for several months and returned at Double or Nothing 2024 to attack the former NXT Champion. Cole hasn't been seen since, and MJF is the current American Champion after defeating Will Ospreay on Dynamite 250.
The Aerial Assassin recently announced his rematch with the former AEW World Champion at All In, which takes place on August 25 at Wembley Stadium. There is a high chance that the Panama City Playboy could return during the match to cost the American Champion his title. The former recently shared a picture of himself and MJF, seemingly teasing his return.
MJF claims Adam Cole isn't wrestling again
The Salt of the Earth viciously attacked the Devil after returning to the company after almost five months.
In an interview with Casual Conversations, the American Champion claimed that Cole would never return to the squared circle.
"I mean, isn't he dead? Didn't I kill him? I thought I killed him. I broke his n**s and then I broke his spine. I mean, it was pretty straightforward. He's never coming back to wrestling and I think we can all agree, bad guy! Not a nice guy!" he said.
It will be interesting to see if the Wolf of Wrestling will retain the American Championship at All In.
