Full Gear rematch; star's first match in 230+ days - 4 last-minute match additions for AEW Worlds End 2024

AEW Worlds End 2024 is right around the corner and the match card is slowly shaping up to be a nice one. There are a good number of matches that will surely excite the fans.

Mariah May will be putting her title on the line against Thunder Rosa in a Tijuana Street Fight while Jon Moxley will be defending his AEW World Title in a four-way match. The card looks stacked.

However, there could be some more matches that can be added and in this article, we will take a look at four such last-minute additions for AEW Worlds End 2024.

FTR vs. Death Riders

The Death Riders have been raising hell and have been leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. With their leader Jon Moxley busy in his four-way match, Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, and Wheeler Yuta are not signed up for any match.

This is where FTR comes in. The Deat Riders were recently confronted by FTR backstage when they were attacking Orange Cassidy and that sets up this feud nicely. They were also kidnapped by the group on Collision. Tony Khan could book FTR to take on the Death Riders in a tag team match in what could certainly be a great one to watch for the fans at AEW Worlds End.

Toni Storm gets added to the AEW Women’s Title match

Toni Storm caused a stir recently when she ditched her Timeless persona to come back with her original gimmick. That caught a lot of fans by surprise and they seem to have warmed up to her new persona already.

With her rivalry with Mariah May still not totally in the rearview mirror, and given her past history with Thunder Rosa, it is very much possible that she could get added to the match, making it a three-way match.

Swerve Strickland vs. Bobby Lashley 2.0 at AEW Worlds End

The Hurt Syndicate is not on the match card and that does not feel right, especially given the kind of impact the group is having in the Jacksonville-based promotion. Bobby Lashley and Swerve Strickland served up a great match at Full Gear, with the former WWE Champion coming out on top.

Strickland, for his part, would want to get back at Lashley and the only way he can do that is by getting a rematch at AEW Worlds End. Booking these two to take on each other in a rematch would be a great idea given the kind of success they had at Full Gear.

Jamie Hayter vs. Julia Hart

Julia Hart made her long-awaited return on AEW Collision and attacked Jamie Hayter in what was an unprovoked attack. This has obviously raised more questions than answers.

The House of Black member has been away since April and she made a statement as soon as she came back to the ring. It is more than likely that the two of them will take each other on in a match to settle their differences at AEW Worlds End.
