If Ricochet leaves WWE, Triple H must sign current AEW star when his contract expires

Ricochet is expected to leave WWE soon, and it is definitely a disappointment how his time in the company has turned out. He joined the promotion in 2018 amid much fanfare and has achieved decent success.

However, much more was expected of him, which is not the case. Be it the underwhelming booking or just being in the right place but at the wrong time, Ricochet could not get going. Reports came out a few weeks back saying he had served his notice and would be moving on.

Some sources said he would be moving on to AEW, and many of his former colleagues have also teased him about his move. If it happens, Triple H should sign one current AEW star when his contract expires.

Ricky Starks should replace Ricochet

This is a no-brainer and would be a straight swap between the two companies. Ricky Starks has not been able to advance to the next level in AEW. Like Ricochet, he has also been the victim of bad booking.

Having him come to the company to take the high-flyer's place on the roster would be perfect for Triple H and Co. It would also give him a much-needed new lease of life after going stale in AEW.

Ricky Stars has untapped potential

Ricky Starks was destined for great things in AEW. His rivalry with CM Punk was great, and during that time, he also won the Owen Hart Tournament. That seemed like it would propel him to new heights, but that did not happen.

Triple H has a knack for booking deserving stars into great storylines, and he could do the same with Ricky Starks, too.

Ricky Starks' relationship with Cody Rhodes

Ricky Starks has a great relationship with Cody Rhodes, which was made evident when the AEW star attended WrestleMania 40 to witness his former colleague defeat Roman Reigns to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion.

Given that Cody is now the top star in the company, his approval of Starks will go a long way in helping him settle down and become the star he was supposed to be in AEW.
