Injured AEW star to complete Bryan Danielson’s revenge quest after WrestleDream? Exploring the possibility
A currently injured star could be the one to finish what AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson starts following the WrestleDream Pay-Per-View. The star in question is Kenny Omega.
Bryan Danielson is slated to defend his AEW World Title against Jon Moxley at WrestleDream this weekend. Furthermore, The American Dragon is also on a quest for revenge against his former BCC partners, Claudio Castagnoli and Moxley who turned on him at All Out. However, he might not do it alone as the All Elite EVP Kenny Omega can make his return and help Danielson complete that quest.
Omega has been out of action since December 2023 due to a serious medical condition called 'diverticulitis.' While fans on the internet are wondering when he will make his in-ring return, Omega recently stated that he would love to participate in the WrestleDynasty event in January 2025 at the Tokyo Dome hosted by AEW, NJPW, CMLL, and ROH.
Assuming, Danielson will lose his World Title at WrestleDream to Moxley, the former is expected to be out of action for some time. In case The Cleaner manages to return by January, he can insert himself in Bryan's feud with Mox and his faction in order to eventually aid The American Dragon in completing his revenge quest.
Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley have a lot of history in AEW dating back to a few years ago. As Moxley and his buddies are trying to take over the company, it makes sense for Omega to try and save All Elite promotion as the EVP.
Jon Moxley sent a message to Bryan Danielson ahead of WrestleDream
Ahead of their AEW World Title match at WrestleDream, Jon Moxley opened Dynamite this past week to cut a backstage promo on Bryan Danielson. Moxley said the following in his promo:
"Fact is, for the better part of two years, Bryan has been trying to kamikaze himself. It's been disconcerting to watch, trying to take himself out. 'Cause as of yet, no one possesses the constitution to do it for him... It's gotta be me. It'll be a wake-up call for AEW. This is the real world, nothing lasts forever, you don't get to pick the day."
Moreover, it remains to be seen if Moxley manages to dethrone The American Dragon at WrestleDream.
