Jon Moxley to be dethroned at AEW Full Gear after WWE Hall of Famer's surprising return? Looking at the chances

AEW World Champion Jon Moxley is slated to defend his title against Orange Cassidy at Full Gear on November 23. Christian Cage could dethrone the champion at the upcoming PPV.

Cage won the Casino Gauntlet match at AEW All In earlier this year. His victory earned him a guaranteed shot at the AEW World Championship which he can cash in anytime. This means that the WWE Hall of Famer can cash in his title shot at Full Gear this Saturday.

This weekend at the Prudential Center, Newark, New Jersey, fans could see Jon Moxley beat Orange Cassidy after a grueling bout to retain his championship. The Purveyor of Violence might then continue to punish his opponent to teach him a lesson for standing up against him. This could force Darby Allin to rush in to save The Freshly Squeezed Star.

The Death Riders could then come out to take care of Allin which in return might result in WWE Hall of Famer Sting returning to rescue his former tag team partner. Taking advantage of the chaos that may ensue in the arena, Cage could cash in on The One True King and become the new AEW World Champion.

Moxley won the title from Bryan Danielson at WrestleDream.

Who is the mastermind behind Jon Moxley's Death Riders in AEW?

Jon Moxley turned on Bryan Danielson at All Out and revamped the Blackpool Combat Club into The Death Riders.

A few days ago, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported who the mastermind was behind the current Death Riders storyline.

"The current AEW/Death Riders storyline is Jon Moxley’s deal as far as the angle goes, and Tony Khan was agreeable to do it. Tony Khan is still overseeing it, like everything on the television, but a lot of the ideas and verbiage is coming from Moxley."
